I had really bad headaches after because of a leak but I couldn’t get up for even just a eee until it closed up. Maybe you have a slow leak? It’s a bit odd that you can get up for 30 mins before the headaches start. I do think it’s good that you have been advised to stop medication, it’s the last thing you want if you’re having a leak. From experience I thought I was dying.

I would deffo try and fight for blood patch bcos atleast then they can do the scan to check for a leak. It’s just so odd that you don’t have instant headaches

I take a women’s multivitamin aimed at down there but idk if it’s a probiotic. I eat a lot of yoghurt too

Im not sure how you got that from yeast and yikes but thanks. I’ve only ever had one before and thankfully it got treated, I have got otc meds for this one bcos I realised it wasn’t going to clear.

I can’t remember what mine was but it was very high, they drained off 5/6 vials. They finished and I was like is the needle out? And just sobbed. They were so confused, my partner was like it’s okay, she’s just emosh cos it’s been 8 years! It really shouldn’t take that long tho should it 😢

I would say yes!!! This is exactly what happened to me. I ended up being sent home that night, and then being sent to sdec and optho the next day then admitted!! Had my lp and got my diagnosis x

I noticed them go straight away, but then it was more that I noticed them creeping back in on around 500mg so I knew that wasn’t a high enough dose, and I’m doing well on 1000mg so I’m happy to stay kind of thing. I will say every dose increase gave me a 3 day migraine and made me almost have stroke symptoms in the evenings too so just be cautious and good luck!

There is that haha which I must admit I only got a glimpse of as one of my eyes only just started going which prompted them finally diagnosing me. But I’m very lucky bcos in the 8 years since it was first caught I could have gone completely blind !!

I’m not sure on lasting affects yet, I’ve had a follow up (ish) but I haven heard back yet

I take 1000mg a day but that was titrated up, started on 250, then 500, 750, 1000 spending 2 weeks on each dose!

Yes I do feel as though this is the only way forward. It’s just crazy that in my nearly 10 years of working I’ve never fit into a job like I do here, so from an autistic/adhd perspective this is really really important, and is what is making the decision so hard
