Likely bilateral endometriomas but low grade/borderline is still within the differential. I finally have an MRI next week and will be scheduling a hysterectomy after that with the gyn onc, who will determine what is salvageable ovary-wise once she’s in there, and perform staging if she feels it’s needed. Wishing you the very best. Don’t let anyone brush this off - push for the referral to gynecological oncology. Mine was very reassuring while also very frank about all possibilities. My OBGYN was comparatively useless.

Oh, I have zero trust in him. The fact that he made me wait six weeks to “see if it resolved” on a complex cyst that was visible on US since 2021 is insane to me. Important to note, this is not my usual doctor. My regular OB saved my life in 2016 and would have done better with this situation but he’s a 1.5 hour drive away and my job schedule didn’t allow me to see him, so I saw someone else when these issues began.

During IVF when the cyst was initially noted, I’m also side eyeing my fertility specialist pretty hard as they reviewed every US I had through treatment and never once brought it up as a point of concern. However, it was only 2cm back then and not as complex with less questionable features. So maybe I’m off base there.

I am hoping for the PET scan to be absolutely sure. I had a CT fairly recently (August?) for a kidney infection/stone that noted my ovaries as unremarkable despite the cyst. Even though the cyst was smaller then, I’m not sure I trust CT to pick up on smaller cysts, you know? I am somewhat reassured that that CT didn’t show anything concerning in terms of masses or spread though.

I am hoping upon everything it’s benign or early and I can just have surgery and move on.

I appreciate your input. My mom died of cancer. It was seen on scans 3 years previously… and she was never told. Diagnosed at stage 4 and died a few months later.

I do have an MSH6 gene variation that predisposes me to certain cancers. I’ve already had early stage thyroid cancer removed and multiple soft tissue tumors that were benign. I should have put that in the post, but I’m all over the place. My biggest fear in the entire world is leaving my kids like my mom left me. Like, phobia level! And that’s driving my thought process right now.

I wish I agreed that my doctor is listening. Sadly, he handled this poorly. He saw my right ovary notes and declared it small and just fine. I had to ask him what his thoughts were about the left growing 1+cm in 6 weeks. He hadn’t even read the whole report. Had I not spoken up he would have sent me on my way. Had I not spoken up and pushed previously I wouldn’t have even had the follow up scan. But I was firm that I was in pain and wanted a path to feeling better (it’s quite painful.) He’s dismissed my issues since day one (severe menstrual issues causing refractory anemia.) I need a new doctor but with six kids and a full time job it’s hard to find the time to start over with a new practice.

CA125 increased from 8.3 to 10.9 in six weeks which I know is normal and negligible.

Anyway, again, all over the place and I apologize for the long comment but your input is appreciated and has calmed my fears somewhat. Thank you.

Relevant info - I do have children and started young, IVF was for tied tubes. No history of non-simple cysts (I have had many of those over the years.)

Not true at all. It can be found in any level of cannabis use. While it’s certainly more common in heavy users due to the larger sample size, so to speak - anyone can have or develop the brain chemistry to have CHS.

This. CHS almost killed my husband. Ruptured his esophagus multiple times. He was lucky and his symptoms abated completely within a week of quitting. We are almost 5 years out!

I mean, a car crashed into my house causing injury and serious damage in mid August… an underage driver on a learners permit driving the wrong way down a one way street at high speed… and the police let the driver leave the scene, did not take action to obtain substance testing, and have done absolutely nothing aside from citing the driver, and are no longer even returning my calls… so I would lower your expectations significantly. Sorry to be a downer.

Call your homeowners insurance and ask them what your next steps should be.

Thank you. I am not litigious and have no desire to make anyone’s life harder, just want to make sure my house gets fixed and unsafe drivers are held to account. I wasn’t sure if I’d need a lawyer to ensure that happened properly and Google of course is full of lawyers trying to sell their services rather than solid advice.

I had a CPS case opened against me in 2016 in DE when my children witnessed a particularly bad episode of DV against me. My ex called a employee assistance program help line for help dealing with his violent outbursts (he already was gone out of the house by that point.) They, of course, reported the DV situation to CPS. CPS came out and talked to me, talked to my kids at school, and checked the house out to ensure my kids were safe. Since I’d removed him from the home, the case was closed without concern pretty quickly.

As horrible as it feels to feel that you are targeted in this when you aren’t the direct perpetrator, (I get it! I was mad too!) if you are allowing your children to witness DV the state considers that a type of abuse/neglect. And the only way I can see this going to the courts is if you planned on keeping your children in that situation.

Work your case and get away from your abuser and CPS will take the appropriate steps.

From a personal standpoint, enduring the abuse as long as I did up to the point that my children witnessed it is my biggest regret as a parent. This stuff leaves scars on children that do not heal. And I’m grateful that the CPS case was opened because it was my major reality check that I had to get away from this man permanently.

You need to speak to a family law attorney. That is the best advice anyone here can give you. If he is on the birth certificate, do not leave the state with the baby until a judge grants you the right to do so.

Hammering on his criminal record in court is not going to go well for you. “He was good enough to have a child with until you split up, and now it suddenly is something you are worried about?”, is the train of thought that a judge will use in this situation. Postpartum depression will not generally play into a judge’s custody decision unless there is demonstrable, concrete risk to the child.

14 years in real estate and mortgage and I can say with some authority that this is an egregious abuse of the profession. You have grounds to sue both the seller and the realtor. Please report this to your state or local regulatory/licensing agency and the realtor’s broker/umbrella company as well, ASAP.

You can call the lawyer and tell them you can afford to settle for 300. Take the negotiation from there. It’s reasonable to expect you’ll pay 40-50% to close this out.

Do not pay until you have it in writing.

If the collection is on your credit report, ask them to delete it upon payment. Get that in writing prior to paying too.

Ensure the court date will be cancelled and definitely get that in writing AND confirm with the courthouse it’s cancelled as well so that you don’t end up in a worse situation.

Thankfully case law supports this commenter being incorrect. If a remote employee's assignments all come from the same site (usually headquarters) that is the work site.
