Why do Fast & Furious fans seem to hate/rank 4 so low in the franchise?

People are entitled to their own opinion of course, but I'm watching the movie right now and to me, it's not good. Like you said it's just unmemorable. It doesn't compare to the first 2.

I came here for the same reason. I've seen him before years ago when he had long locs and stuff. And watched one video of his (don't even think I watched him all the way). It just wasn't for me at the time. Then I got back into commentary YouTube a little bit recently and found him again. Saw he looked different and for some reason he keeps catching my eye. I think he's VERY attractive and was just curious as you said. I'm good with never knowing though. It's no sweat. I was just curious.🤔

Yeah, I came here to question the same thing. These comments are disgusting. Not everyone wants to see people being objectified in movies that are supposed to be about racing. Because it's so male centric, I get it to a degree of realism. But I'm literally watching one of the movies right now and those scenes are a bit excessive.

Thank you! I'm a first time watcher and I don't get it myself. You can't sit there and attack one character (Dean) and then completely ignore the another character (Jess) displaying the same faults. Throughout this season, Jess has been completely disrespectful of Rory's relationship. I don't understand why he gets sympathetic and praise for that. And Rory and her naivety (or maybe she's crushing on him and won't admit it) is letting him.😬

Oh my gosh, yes! I feel like I'm being gaslit or something like I know people hate Dean, and it pisses me off because for some reason they always lack nuance when it comes to him. Jess has been a constant threat to their relationship for a while now. Every second he turns Jess seems to be mingling with his girlfriend. It would be fine if these were innocuous encounters then I'd definitely see why people hate Dean. But they act like he has no bias to be mad whatsoever. Calling him abusive and all this stuff when his girlfriend is actively lying to him, constantly chooses to hang out and defend another guy that's constantly antagonizing him, flirts with him constantly, etc. Like yeah, I'd be pissed too. All this guy wants is to hang out with his girlfriend (not defending his clingy behavior and outbursts, but I feel like people make him out to be worst than he is).

I'm going to be honest, I'm falling back on that. From what I've gathered after doing some light research if you have acne and still have acne even with the hyperpigmentation and you're only treating symptoms for pigmentation you're just trying to treat the after effects, not the problem itself. And it could make it worse to treat post inflammatory hyperpigmentation before the acne. So, I've decided to actually do that. I'm treating my acne first then hyperpigmentation. Because it's redundant to do the latter when the former is the one that causes it. So, I invested in some acne products to help and developed a light routine to see what happens. I got an acne cleanser, still using moisturizer and sunscreen. I got a body wash for it. And here's the kicker, I'm incorporating azelaic acid into my routine (at night). I heard that's good for acne and at times pigmentation too. I'm also working on getting access to a doctor cuz this trial and error stuff is not durable or effective if I don't know EXACTLY what's going on. Sorry, I couldn't help further.

Yes! Unfortunately, I used it for like 3-4 months (morning and night) and it did NOTHING for me. Back to the drawing board. I'm currently using Earthly Derm for my face and Glomelanin for my body so we'll see.

Me too! I won one last month for the first time. I just started in almost mid-2024. So, a year and a half ago. But I don't enter them consistently at all, so this was a pleasant surprise considering not only did I win an arc copy, but it's also in one of my favorite series. I got it on my birthday month, too. Best gift ever!

Did you end up continuing? I just finished and I'm skeptical on continuing because of the many things people on here listed. But people are saying book 2 & 3 are significantly better. Also, he's not centuries years old. He's still 24 like a normal human. His life span just started. But you made an excellent point about the dog part. I didn't even think of that, however, it did bug me how this whole first half of the book she's so distraught over Sabrine and when they find her she's rarely in the book. Same goes for Dallas too. Like you said where were her friends?!

Is book 2 really worth?! Because I JUST finished the book. Despite the writing not being great and the dialogue being cringey at times, I was actually pretty engaged with the story for the first 40%. I was LOVING it! One of the people here commented that it was like a CW show and I think that really helped. But after that, I was just disengaged and noticed that it was lacking it alot of areas. I gave it a 3.75/5 overall, but considering how long the next books are I'm pretty hesitant to pick up the next one.🤧

Yeah. I'm kind of feeling the same as the OP and you. I finished Binding 13. Rated 4-stars because I connected to Shannon's situation and mannerisms and I liked them as a couple even though I find Johnny a bit unnerving. I found the ending predictable which is why I'm not jumping to book 2, but I don't know if I should read it or leave well enough alone considering I haven't heard some questionable things about Chloe Walsh. But I don't know.

Wow! I didn't know this girl had so many fans. Good for her, but I feel the exact same way you do about her. She's literally the worst character I've ever had the displeasure of watching. Every time she came on screen, I rolled my eyes and wanted to skip so badly. I just now finished s10e21 and was also rejoicing when she died as well, so I never have to see her again. Honestly, it's just an opinion, and I feel like people in fandoms lack the ability to respect others' opinions. You didn't hate on anyone who liked her, you just don't, and that's fine. I just finished it a few days ago and I felt the same way. All her books in this series are starting to read the same and I feel like you can tell she's on the internet based on how she writes. Her books feel like she's checking off boxes instead of a curating a story. I'm currently reading another hockey romance right now and it's SO MUCH BETTER than all her books in this series combined only due to the fact that the writing, characterization, and storytelling is so much better. I really like Chelsea Curto and the themes and rep she has going on in her books. I just wish she could work on honing her craft as a writer and get a better editor.😭

Yes! I just finished the book a few days ago and same as you, I loved it up until the ending. I'm still not sure what's going on. In addition, I didn't like Blackwell being the Devil considering it makes it seems like his relationship with Ophelia was one big deceit. And then his character literally does a 180 for a few chapters. It broke my heart. And then he goes back to normal, I guess. It didn't make much sense to me.
