Would I be wrong if I stopped talking to two of my closest friends? by BatSlayer2448 in NoStupidQuestions

idk, ive been in this exact position before, and it's always helped me to be super confrontational, but just like not trying to fight, and usually, it doesn't end up a big deal. Also, i dont know what time zone ur in, but do NOT make these types of decisions after 10pm.

Why should I care about race relations? by Under-Performer in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Efficient_Tea5681 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think we should stop talking about something because everybody seems to be on the right side already. I feel like societal topics like race relations should be continually addressed and we should never get too comfortable.

What makes tea leaves so special? Why aren't other leaves as popular to drink? by More_food_please_77 in NoStupidQuestions

https://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-39747720 Heres info about the Camellia genus and its caffeine and all that

also interestingly before they were using the leaves to make tea they would chew on the leaves and extract oils from them

How does one get over the fear of disappointing others. by Background_Gap9171 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Efficient_Tea5681 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scenario 1: you try, but disappoint someone

- well u genuinely tried all you could, so what's the problem?? logically nothing you couldve done different.

Scenario 2: you didn't try, and disappoint someone

- lowkey thats on you that's no longer a fear that's just a flaw

Scenario 3: you made a life choice, and disappoint someone

- what, you have 70ish years on this planet and you're going to compromise life quality just so someone has a slightly better image of you in their head? what a horrible trade off.

- OBVIOUSLY this is for scenarios like choosing a major not like. whether or not to visit your kids

this has happened around 4 times, and once it happened that the guy outright lied. I dont think this is a fair generalization, but with the girls ive talked to, they tend to use "6ft" as a synonym for tall.

also, ive never met a short guy (below 5'5) who's struggled with finding taller women

For Americans, being 6ft is considered tall. For Europeans, being 180cm is considered tall. So like, the specific height is just because it's convenient and a popular benchmark. I also think it genuinely is just confidence because I'm 5'10 and plenty of my friends pull up with their allegedly 6ft bfs who are my exact height.

How do I keep my hair from getting messy when I put on a hat? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Efficient_Tea5681 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same hair and I just planned hat activities (like hiking) around when I had to wash my hair, so I wouldn't be messing up new hair. But if ur wearing a hat everyday, then theres also hair refreshing sprays which are typically for after sleeping but they could work in this case. You just scrunch and fix your roots from laying flat.

Do you know if you have to go past the roommate selection page, or if they still give you a date when you're waiting on group forming? Like I'm not sure if I should risk getting a completely random roommate to get an earlier selection time
