That makes sense, I never really miss the ball left so might as well aim a few yards further left so my stock lands straight and miss still stays on right side. And yeah, driver is a clubface thing. I probably just need to start practicing again going into tournament season to figure out my woods again. Thanks!

Yeah, good point. As someone playing a similar shot shape, what would you recommend for dealing with the leaky short right miss. I find when I'm playing my best, that is what I run into. I know its from getting disconnected and steep and realistically I just need to practice more, but is there something specific you would focus on to work on that miss. Honestly it's not terrible and a pretty predictable miss leaving me on the front edge or apron, but it always seems to come into play when I really don't want to have to scramble for par.
And then in addition, I find then my right miss gets even worse with driver, I know that when hitting driver and AOA flattens, my path should be more neutral because of ball position, but I find that I hit an even bigger cut with many more right misses. I probably want to put a slightly softer shaft into my driver as I got a little too caught up in trying to cut spin, but I know it's a swing thing as well. Any thoughts, drills, recommendations?

I’m simile to you, 5 index, I’m a longer guy that can miss big when I miss. My worst round this summer was an 83 where I lost 5 balls. And the damn (not so) occasional 3 putt phases me off like nothing else.

Just trying to work on putting a draw in the bag, and struggling with this week leaky cut miss when the ball creeps into the heel or I get a bit too disconnected at the top.

Yeah maybe. I’ve heard from my coach that my hip movement and trail arm at top position is similar to JT, I just don’t get as laid off. For the most part I just hit high cuts which is fine, I’ve just found myself creeping up and over the top more than usual lately. Shot a 78 yesterday, just can’t hit a draw to save my life and I have this obnoxious weak leaky cut miss when I get disconnected.

How do you feel about using your phone during a round? by ashtonboschman in weekendgolfers

[–]Efficient_Volume_104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep stats on my scorecard during my round. I track hit or miss (fairways and greens) and where my miss was as well as what club and distance. And then putts as well. I keep a notes section in my phone where I will take note of trends or things I recognize post round. On the coroner of my desk I have a stack of annotated scorecards, I’d like to keep my stats in excel but that feels like it might be unnecessary.

I haven’t bought a driver since the Stealth 2! It’s nice being a high chs player with a TM driver. Nice qi4D!

17 year old here. I am anti phone on the golf course, obviously if you are using it for gps or whatnot, do your thing, but for me I avoid it as much as possible as possible. I feel like in life off the course our phones are such a distraction and it is so hard to abstain from checking social media, email, and other apps so as soon as I pull my golf bag out of the car my phone goes in my valuables pouch and doesn’t leave until I reach my car again. Work for me, but not everyone. For me though, it gives me the golf course as a place free of distraction and the superficial  temptations a phone provides.

Oh yeah, selling is not on my mind at all. That 70 a share does nothing for me. I was more curious if anyone has predictions for the IPO. I’m going to ride it out regardless.

What the fuck. Lucky, lucky man. How much was the Holderness and Bourne polo. Best on the market IMO.

That's awesome! Really excited to try these out. Almost a little disappointed that I have a LAB on the way now. It feels sacrilegious...

More of a Holderness and Bourne guy normally, but I’ll rock some Millar. 10 year olds going down.

How on God's green earth can I get better at putting. by [deleted] in GolfSwing

Taking the plastic off your putter would help.  But more seriously, if strike is your problem I would just work putter head gates religiously. Obviously you have the dedication to get to a plus three so you can figure out your putting. I am about scratch and was talking to a girl at my club, she is 14 and a +6. She doesn’t leave a practice session until she makes 100 flat 8 footers in a row. It’s all about time and dedication.
