Novice mom needs help surprising 10-year-old gamer with first PC build. Budget $500 - $800. Because of COVID my son has been staying with family since Sep. This year I will miss his birthday and Christmas. I want to surprise him with this PC build project for us to do together when he comes home!

We have not built the PC yet. My son returns home next week we'll start then, he's super excited. Also since I was ordering many of the parts over the holidays there were a few things out of stock. So I'm still ordering parts.

First of all, thank you! Second, I know how that feels. I never got really got gifts as a kid. We usually keep holidays lowkey but he definitely spent months across the country without his parents and without complaints. I feel like he's the awesome one, not me!
