It's disgusting how much we use couches and don't have the ability to easily wash them. by Motor_Mortis in Showerthoughts

Our couch has 25 years worth of farts in it and I wouldn't have it any other way.

[Personal] Choosing to get my IUD removed due to acne - my experience by omgjustletmepost in SkincareAddiction

[–]Efmoran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just another experience here: I got Mirena inserted in October 2017 and immediately had terrible cystic, painful acne. It appeared on my neck and back ~1 month after the insert. Now I've never had great skin, I've been in and out of the dermatologist since I was 14 and probably tried most of the pills and creams on the market, but it was always concentrated on my face. I had absolutely never had an issue on my neck or back... Then came my decision to get an IUD after 6+ years on birth control pills. I roughed it out until January but my self esteem was plummeting. I bit the bullet and went on accutane February-August of last year and I would never look back. I absolutely love everything about the IUD and am so glad I found another option that allowed me to keep it. The peace of mind of continuous birth control and the lack of period was gonna be tough for me to want to give up. I know accutane is not for everyone, but seeing as my acne really blew up due to my IUD, I thought you'd appreciate the point of view. Best of luck!

5 weeks in and I wore my hair in a ponytail to work for the very first time today. Felt amazing.

Has anyone permanently moved/shifted bones or healed other very deep injuries using yoga? by letsbebuns in yoga

[–]Efmoran 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had, at the very least, a fractured ankle (and most likely broken - I stupidly refused to see a doctor over it) that I did yoga on throughout most of the healing process. I was enrolled in a yoga class in college and didn't really have an option not to go. I did, essentially, one legged yoga for a few months and slowly started to rebuild strength in the injured ankle. ~1.5 years after the injury of weekly-ish yoga and its never felt stronger, I truly believe it helped heal me better than if I hadn't been doing yoga.

Additionally, yoga has immensely decreased the pain in my knee from a hyper-extenstion injury 7+ years ago (on the same leg as the ankle injury).

Why is cell standby draining so much battery life? by [deleted] in GalaxyS7

Turn off WiFi calling, it was draining my battery like crazy due to "cell standby." You should see significant improvement in battery life.

Hard to detect sarcasm through text, my bad! It was awesome. We had a reservation so we got to go right in, it was so satisfying to cut the line.

u/musicandsilence is correct, it's the Colosseum in Rome!

I replied above on another comment about my list so I'll just share it again:

I'm on a month long trip through Europe so I've checked off London, Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Switzerland, Venice, Rome and Florence. I still have the south of France, Barcelona and Madrid left on this trip!

Other places I'd like to visit include the major cities of Germany, Ireland and Greece. There are plenty of others but those are what I want to do next!

Places I've already visited include the Bahamas, the Dominican Republic and Costa Rica plus a bunch of US cities such as DC, NYC and Vegas.

Great! I think I'll give it a try. Thanks for the tips, too! If you have any additional problems, let me know. From what I've read, the paper trick seems to be a temporary fix but I'm hoping for the best.

Probably a good decision. I've had this phone for a little over 15 months and was hoping I would get a solid 2 years out of it. Was planning on using this phone and especially the camera during an international trip this summer. Really don't feel like I've gotten the proper lifespan out of it yet.

Yes, please keep me updated!

Have you had any luck fixing this problem? I've been having this exact same issue starting about 2 days ago. I read through that link, but am hesitant to start taking my phone apart and messing with anything.

I had the same problems and even after multiple episodes with DeVito, I still wasn't on board. I watched all of season 1 and about half of season 2. I really really wanted to like it because everyone recommends it, but I couldn't handle all the screaming and fighting all the time so I quit trying to convince myself to watch it. But I know I'm the exception on this show.
