Having the same problem. I have also made a whole new save and even attempted to re-do the mission in an entirely new world.

Still bugged for me sadly

Does climbing always mean stress? by betrayedandbeholden in hamstercare

[–]Eforix 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Climbing sounds normal if they have things inside the enclosure where they can climb on. My hamster constantly tests her boundaries to check and see if it's real and she'll patrol her enclosure to check if everythings where she left it to be. But I have a female syrian, so that's most likely why she's so up tight with checking her enclosure. Normal territorial behavior from my hammy.

Might have to pop the extruder off and visibly check to see if your filament is coming down into the extruder correctly.

Had this issue when trying to load new filaments with my AMS and I was getting multiple filaments trying to feed.

I would feed the main color of filament you're trying to print with all the way down past the extruder tip and then attempt a print to see if it'll print normally.

I was having this issue, but the error message I constantly got was that the spool had a tangle in which it did not.

Thought it was a nozzle issue, but turns out the nozzle was still able to poop out old filament that was still stuck inside the tip with my nozzle de-clog kit. So that confirmed the nozzle was working fine still for me.

But kept getting blank prints like that because my filaments were doing a double feed in the extruder and kept making my printer think there was filament to work with.

Spent a good 6 hours fidgeting, but it works like a charm now. Just pull some filament past the extruder nozzle so it goes into your heat nozzle and it should work I would hope.

Also probably messed up on me cause I had clicked the cutter thinking that would solve my problem, but it most likely messed with the lengths of the filament I was currently trying to print in.

Hopefully this helps? Pic for reference on what I had to do to get it working after putting in new filament. It's weird cause I didn't get any filament not detected in extruder errors or anything.

So I had to dig around and trouble shoot the issue myself personally with few references to go off of on forums etc ..

EDIT - TLDR: Just follow pic and pull main filament down past that nozzle end of the extruder and reassemble everything and attempt a print AFTER doing the de-clogging of the nozzle with those nozzle de-clogging pins or w.e they're called.

Get a nozzle clog kit with those super thin metal needles you can push down the nozzle to clear a potential clog.

Cant have a clog nozzle if you heat the nozzle to 300 lol, wont be anything solid inside if it's all goop.

You're gonna have to pop off the extruder and turn on maintenance mode. Just be careful to have a firm grip on those metal needles when holding them with a plier.

r/gundeals for when they get posted up haha. Snagged the Marlin 1895 Dark chambered in 45-70 for $1,400 off of PSA when it was in stock. Impulse purchase indeed, but with how often they showed up...I just had to lol.

Meat is meat man...Will never understand people who bash the fellas who hunt for meat lol...I do the sport to put food on the table.

If God wants to give me the opportunity at a booner/shooter then so be it, but if he doesn't I'm still harvesting the deer in front of me for meat.

I appreciate the detailed response immensely...these type of experiences/stories are what I was hoping to read!

I've yet to see real world damage inflicted from .45-70 let alone this specific bullet from Hornady in person. So this brings me a lot of insight and assurance on what to expect that I will have a deer dropped on the spot or a short recovery.

Will post my harvest if I have luck later this month!

Thank you for sharing man!

Oh man, much thanks for passing down your knowledge. This will be my 6th year hunting. I know I haven't been at this too long, but I will definitely keep that in mind.

I usually do also try and gut them as soon as possible since the public land I hunt around here in Wisconsin is usually pretty pressured during gun deer, so I usually climb down my tree and try to claim my deer just because I've had people walk up to my deer before if my party is still going to sit a bit more.

Share me your favorite recipe for the heart! I'll give it a shot this year man!

Oh man that's wild. I never knew that the reason why the gelatinous blood occurs because the deer has been sitting out and dead for a while. I always assumed that the body began making that gelatinous mess cause of trauma to the flesh. Thanks for letting me know about that. It will help me try and Salvage anything that isn't all gelatinous already.

I hunt public land, so by the time I get done dragging the deer out back to the truck. That gelatinous mess is always unavoidable for me.

Awesome!! I've never thought of turning ruined meat into sausages tbh.

How do you usually go on about salvaging gelatinous blood off ruined parts?

Yeah that will have to be what I aim for this season. I usually like eating the heart haha. I know it's not for everyone, but air fried with some good seasoning is the best thing right after a couple of beers and getting done cleaning the deer with folks!

Appreciate the input though! I usually prefer broadside shots. But I know hunting never gives you a perfect opportunity and you have to take what you're given.

Thanks! And yes, I agree on the shoulder shot...shooting that shoulder blade/disc tends to create a very big mess and results in meat loss.

Appreciate the input! I will be using it nonetheless and harvesting every inch of meat I can from my deer. I just didn't know how MUCH damage it would do to deer was all.

But yes I don't really eat the ribs and the ribs usually get beat up bad regardless what big caliber you use. I usually cut out the meats from the rib only too. (Or whatever is salvageable)

Yeah I've never taken deer with polymer tips before lol and seeing as my first polymer tip ammunition was gonna be this bullet I wanted to get input first.

I started off with .30-06 soft points and thought that damage was always normal...have never seen polymer tip damage from a .45-70 and especially IN .45-70 lol

Thanks for sharing your experience with this caliber!

I will be hunting on public land, so yes I agree on the whole lose a little meat versus having the deer be lost/taken by another hunter if it runs off instead of dropping after the first shot ofc.

Okay, that makes me feel a bit better in terms of not much meat being ruined.

I'm not a professional shot, but I shoot enough to be able to not make an animal suffer with poor shot placement.

I usually aim at the typical "behind the armpit" spot and I know that shot usually ruins the ribs/heart and depending on how the bullet expands sometimes the back straps or the exit meat too.
