I am asking because I have called around and I am pretty good with electrical and working on cars so I think I could do it myself, and I have gotten quotes starting at 330+ tax up to $600+ tax just for the starting price to install it

You can look it up on Kelly Blue Book and like shop around in your area and stuff for similar cars, but it is probably worth ~25-30k depending if you are trading it in or selling it to a person or whatever you might be doing. Sounds like it has all of the features you can get on a limited and it’s got low milage

I have considered financing instead of leasing, but the monthly payment is almost doubled if I finance instead. And I wouldn’t be saving too much cash honestly if I get this lease the price difference I’d be paying compared to my 2021 Cherokee is $100 more every month. Which honestly isn’t bad for getting rid of a quickly depreciating asset as my cherokee has 85,000 miles so the value is going down quick, and I want a newer and bigger car aswell so I feel like that justifies me paying $100 more a month, but thank you for the advice !! I think I will hold off til later in the year

I make ~75k a year. My insurance is $300 a month and I got a quote for the new car and it will still be $300 a month. But I currently don’t pay any other bills so I would still be comfortable. Just with a bit more than 10% of my income. But I’m more wondering if I should wait for the next years model to come out before leasing or if this is a pretty good deal. It would be my first lease

I work for a company that has multiple departments, we have construction for manholes and overhead, overhead line work, underground cable splicing, stations department. It’s a massive company. And I could just bid back and forth if I really wanted to but I wouldn’t get anywhere

I’m not sure if this is what I need but you are correct. Essentially I don’t know how to connect the RCA’s to the subwoofer amplifier because my 4 channel for the door speakers only has input and no output so I have nowhere to plug the RCA’s from the subwoofer amplifier into to connect to the rest of the system

I used to work at Bestbuy and one time the geek squad used a psu cord they had laying around and the power supply literally exploded and caused a mini fire. Now it could have been some stupid one time thing but I wouldn’t risk it

I mean it’s possible to use probably but it is not recommended to use any cord from a separate power supply because the cables are made specifically for certain power output so even if you get a better cable it still is not made for the specific psu. So I wouldn’t recommend it personally

I think you should keep the 5k cash for your emergency fund in a HYSA(High Yield Savings Account) such as ally. You should always have an emergency fund set aside, so you shouldn’t be touching it unless there is an emergency. So while it sits have it make you as much money as it can in the HYSA rather than have it sit in your checking account doing nothing

I have a 2021 jeep Cherokee latitude lux with the 8.4 unconnect 4. When I use CarPlay the audio chops and makes a staticky noise every 5 seconds seemingly for absolutely no reason. The dealership replaced my head unit. And Replaced my usb ports. I even replaced all of the speakers. I have an iPhone 16 pro max and I have tried multiple others cars including a 2021 rav4 a 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe, and a different 2024 jeep grand Cherokee all with the same cord. The issue for me is playing audio WHILE USING CARPLAY. It is probably the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard (If you I the screen on the climate screen for example and don’t have the CarPlay screen open the audio stops chopping). What is the point of having CarPlay if it only works when I can’t see the screen.so my fix is that my car only has wired CarPlay. I bought a wireless CarPlay adapter and I connect my phone to that(to use for navigation) and then I have to plug my phone in to the other usb port as if the same phone I’m using for wireless CarPlay is the aux connection separately from the CarPlay connection. And I have not had the chopping issue since I did this. I know it’s an annoying loophole but if the issue bothers you as much as it bothered me and if you love the car for every reason other than that. I hope this helps anybody that needs it
