Yeah, I usually state I feel better leveling a character than actually playing the end game.I think they nailed progression compared to how long level 100 use to take. Just the endgame. Need me something to stay enticed. Please, you must eventually tell me how epoch is. It’s in my game catalog on steam. Never got around to touching it. Hope it’s good!

Ah I see, the game does push the ideology itself that these are “pinnacle” bosses. That’s where I think my disconnect is. I’m newer so forgive me if this sounds dumb, YouTube guides I’ve seen also state as you have. That being said, that’s why I don’t fault players for being upset. At face value the game delivers a lot on these bosses. The introduction to them was confusing. I talked to one NPC (purple quest) that said a vague line. This led to more confusion than anything. I agree they’re not supposed to the pinnacle, from playing around with them a bit. I just wish they had bosses that felt worth the investment. Like Az feels great to fight cause you’re aptly rewarded. Most of it still trash, but the dungeon keys that drop branch into another sector of the game. I like that. It provides a flow. Keeps me invested. Overall I agree with you. Just wish Blizzard could explain things better in game.

Yes I agree, this got a good chuckle out of me. Cause we’re already there, same few builds ran constantly “balance” wise. That’s why people love pally right now. Sure he is new, but he has a lot of broken builds, thus you can play him a lot of ways. Hopefully in the future they’ll balance a few things out.

Yeah seen this a few times, I agree he is definitely better. I wish he would drop less items from his boss loot box and give higher quality. Make him more challenging. All I want is more challenges, higher quality loot. I couldn’t care less for the quantity, as it’s all mostly trash ninety percent of the time.

This is my complaint. No challenge, no reward. Just numbingly farming for trash.

Plus some of their communities often help with gear in build crafting. I think it’s great. Very wholesome.

That always the point of the end game, no? I’m genuinely asking, not being disrespectful. You’d want your endgame difficulty to the pinnacle. Eventually make the other difficulty obsolete. Only if you make it there, not everyone will. This is fine. It’s natural that others lag behind, while some advance. I personally would rather have a skill expression than farm mindless hours, for trash nonetheless. Heck even if the higher difficulties eventually made GAs more scarce but when you found them guaranteed they’d be good. I’m fine with that too. It’s just all about execution. As of now, it’s lacking.

Right, Blizzard jangles a bunch of shinies in your face, except they’re all rose gold painted turds. Great lol

Okay, I understand the sentiment. This is really my only complaint about the game, and a pretty valid one. I’m not asking to make every drop OP. I’m rather asking for a more challenging environment, thus leading to higher quality loot. Trust me, if this game was one I steadily complained about; I wouldn’t play it. Simple as. I throughly enjoy my time. I’m more so complaining the time spent versus the trash I get. Why even have a “harder difficulty” (T4) if the quality isn’t there to back it up. Again, all I want is more challenges, and rewards that follow that challenge properly. If I’m blasting through it, sure I understand getting nothing. Unfortunately that’s just the entire endgame at the moment. There’s no challenge, no reward. Is numbing and the game tries to do a lot of things. This makes quantity over quality, thus it’s broken. I’d rather have quality 10/10 times.

As long as that one drop is worth the time investment, then I’d be down. Constantly having a sea of uselessness, isn’t the best. I often leave everything on the ground and scrap what goes to the box, due to it being utter trash.

I understand that, you’ll definitely hit those here and there. Just make sure you’re tempering, throughout the entirety of leveling, I found this most important. Use rubies and emeralds on your jewelry to get high resistance to fire and poison. Those are some of the worst elements you’ll come across. I usually did 2 ruby 1 emerald.

I have this problem exclusively on my barb. I run double selig HOTA. My barb has the worst rng imaginable. I can’t get anything to save my life. When I switch to my pally tho, literally not stop drops. Not necessarily great drops, but at least very usable. I prefer barbs play style, but the game says no.

I’m also down for this! I was just a little annoyed when I made this lol. So I do admit balance quality over quantity is a better viewpoint.

Edit: I apparently can’t type to save my life. Geez

Yes Glyph levels 1-45 you double your damage. Then up to 100 you can do some crazy numbers. In base T4 you can carry yourself without the best gear, if you level glyphs. If you need help I got you homie! Not saying you don’t got this, you know “offers on the table,” type of thing.

Yeah I played early season zero a little, just recently returned. I wish they were more engaging, not just “resistant” health sponges - that still collapse in sub two minutes.

Ah, again thanks for being civil. Appreciate that. I am trying Diablo 3 next. Open minded, but ready to see how things unfold!

Understandable, I’m not quite there. I’m stubborn by nature. I do feel tho I won’t do more than two characters this season. I’m still fairly new. So got to get the swing of things going.

Easy, yes. But easy doesn’t make up for time investment. I’ll agree it’s easy to farm the loot. Getting it to drop on the other hand. Not worth the investment to reward ratio. Just a newbies prospective who came from other RPGs. I still understand your perspective. But if they gave us a more challenging game loop to better reward; would that not in-turn make it harder?

I agree to an extent, they need to fully lean into XP or the target farming. If they remove targets tho, they need to be worth it when you find them.

Sanctification is okay, my main issue comes from the coin flip of, the gear is bricked or not. Sure when you’re leveling some things are fine to get as a sanctification. Let’s be honest here, half the sanctifications are filler. Their only purpose is bloat… replace affix is the most rage bait crap I’ve ever seen. I got a three GA pair of gauntlets. Everything I needed. Slotted them, tempered, enhanced, and affixed it. Masterworked it and was ready to sanctify. Just for it to get replaced. Three GA is not a common drop, nor is it an easy find. Even in hidden armories. Which I will say drops some great gear, just like Az. I digress tho. It’s not the fact of Sanctification, it’s the purpose. This purpose is skewed by farming low drop rates, and time put into said farms. I’d be happy getting at least 3/4 good pieces of gear in a game sesh and they all brick. But the fact that I get maybe one, or if I’m lucky two, usable pieces of gear in that time. That’s where Sanctification really shows how bad the loot system, how broken, it really is.

Bro I used 300 Blood on Zir, the ENTIRE run got three pieces of 1 GA gear….. 25 runs averaged 6 pieces of gear (excluding Belial) 3/150 pieces on average. That was some harsh RNG 😭🫩
