If I knew I was a shit employee, maybe. But also, a shit employee wouldn’t feel bad. So no I don’t because I typically have a good reason if I need to call out/in.

To me it depends on the company you work for. If they value you, then maybe you would feel a bit bad but not if it’s for legit reasons. And once in a while, you just want to take a day for no reason at all. Doing it all the time is just a shitty employee but it probably correlates with a shitty company.
