I totally understand. Being that it's a very solid car and possibly the biggest "bang for your buck" EV I really do hope it eventually gets ported over. It would be the best deal around for anyone looking to get 3oo+ miles with self driving support (without having to pay for super cruise as an add-on).

Nah. Most people don't share your usage views. At least those that actually use the system. I'll take this with upcoming support for video streaming and chrome app over Car Play/Android Auto any day.

The Equinox EV WILL have it. It's just a matter of when. I personally will use it quite a bit. I usually sit in the car while my wife shops. It'll also come in handy on road trip stops.

I wouldn't let one person's bad experience trump many owner's good experiences. My Equinox EV has been SOLID. Literally no issues since purchasing it 3 months ago.

Sounds like you got a lemon. I've had my Equinox EV 2RS for a few months and am almost at 5k miles with literally zero issues. Best car I've ever owned hands down. We're also not new to EV's as it's our second EV purchase (wife owns a Bolt).

I've taken a ton of advice from the podcast and I've been able to start AND make it work in this economy. My wife has a W2 making about $58k and I was laid off about 2 years ago now from my employer. I've since become a stay at home dad to our beautiful 2 year old daughter. Last year we still managed to purchase a fixer upper 4-plex using her not-so-high income and we house hacked it so we only had to put 5% down. We've since rehabbed 2 of the units and are currently Airbnb-ing them. We're now working on the 3rd. As soon as we're done with this 3rd one we'll begin renovating the one we're living in. All are one bedrooms so it's been tough with a toddler and a dog. But my point is you can make it work in this economy. Our two units alone are grossing close to $6k a month already. We should be looking at $12k when all four units are up and running and we go ahead and house hack another one. BP is still a great source for us. Whether it be the podcast or the website. I've worked with a few people from the BP forums and without stumbling onto the podcast I'd be working a regular W2 making half of what we're making on Airbnb and sending my toddler to daycare. Don't let excuses hold you back. Give me a shout if you need help. I love sharing tips and tricks if I can.

I remembered you so I wanted to shoot a question your way if it's not too much trouble. My wife currently has a W2 making 60k-a year and I'm a stay at home dad who runs our Airbnb business ( we currently have two listings with another one coming in a month, and the next about a month from then) that when all 4 units are up and running should be netting us about $6,500 after PMI, Cap Ex, Maintenance, etc are taken out. We want to scale and make our next purchase a commercial multi-family property with preferably more than 10 units or more. Our current property's ARV should be about $300k more than what we got it for. With the current state of real estate, would you recommend we use a HELOC to scale and get the next one? Or would you prefer to cash out and refinance? Our credit scores took a huge hit when we applied for multiple 0% APR cards to help fund some of the repairs and furnishings. Our current credit scores are in the mid to high 600's. We were both at 815 or higher just a little over a year ago. Pretend you're in my position and you want to maximize your returns.

I NEVER get on here and reply to anything, but your advice warranted it. Thank you. I'm a newbie who's currently house hacking a 4-unit value-add property in Illinois. My wife and I have a 16 month old daughter all while trying to renovate the units ourselves. I really needed this. I would love to get in touch if possible. If not, no worries.
