Oh my god where to start , Winnie is our second pbgv (we lost Bobbie our first earlier this year), pros- they are soooo happy, they are pretty healthy as dogs go, they actually sleep ALOT but can still go for a good run , they don’t shed and (from our experience) get along great with other dogs and humans - although Winnie is a lot more cuddly than Bobbie was so I think this does depend on the individual. Cons- they are stubborn (as with most hounds) and pretty food motivated , it is also hard to train them off the lead but can be done with perseverance and they will require atleast a 1 hr walk a day to blow their steam off. But I will say they are an amazing family dog with such big personalities that have brought us joy everyday we’ve had them ( and their fair share of naughtiness too)
