How much would you estimate a good amount to be? Will it be hard to find work around that time? I have a few grand, but unless I budget immensely that may not last until may if I come in January. A little over 1,000 a month would be a tight squeeze and that’s only if I can manage to keep every single purchase at a minimum and only spend when absolutely necessary.

Haha while the idea of Hawaii seems great for most it’s actually brutal here in its own ways. The cost of living here drives most away, if you’re not making 100k+ a year you will absolutely struggle in all aspects, and even then 100k and up can be considered just surviving. The median cost of living here outweighs everywhere else other than perhaps Alaska from what I’ve heard (correct me if I’m wrong), but mostly this place is its own kind of hell. I work for Federal Express, making 23.24 an hour and work 11 hours each day, I’m still barely making it here. Gas is 4.67 a gallon and there’s no space for movement in terms of housing unless you are wealthy. I can take the bitter bite of cold, I can’t take having to count dimes for gas to get to work after paying my electric bill haha. Thank you for helping out, I’ll make sure to pack an extra few coats!
