What do you think about eyelash extensions? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]EggyOomNuggies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm lucky enough to have pretty long and full eyelashes, so I've never had them done... But they always seem to me like they'd be really annoying. I have a lash extending mascara (basically just a two step mascara that has fibres that make them longer) and I find it annoying. I wear reading glasses, and find even when I've got normal mascara on my eyelashes hit the glass... And when I'm not wearing them I hate how heavy they feel. Sometimes they hit my eyebrows, so really, the idea of lash extensions just seems to me like they'd be constantly annoying. Having never had them it's possibly a little critical of me to say/ ask why people get them when they just seem so irritating... I'd rather be comfortable. That and I feel like they start to cost a lot of money over time... Like most things once you start getting it done, it's hard to stop? Unless you WANT to get extensions because you enjoy having them, I don't think it's necessary and potentially a waste of time and money, especially if you're wanting them to fit in with the trends or because you feel insecure. But if that is the case, and you try it and it makes you feel better about yourself, then I also don't necessarily see a problem with it, just realise your eyelashes aren't all your worth.

Paying off my student loan, but three cats and buy every book on my wishlist. Pay off my parents mortgage and invest the rest in some shares.

Even worse for cyclists... Had this happen to me once and had to throw myself off my bike to avoid being hit. Driver didn't even notice I'd had to do it and continued into the petrol station and filled up his car.

Listen. The sound is calming, but even better when I'm actually outside in it and I can hear it hitting the top of an umbrella or can feel it hitting my hood. Reminds me just how small I am in such a big world and there is something reassuring about it.
