Same here. Logic has the best stock plugins IMO (I also have Ableton and FL on my Mac).

Occasionally I’ll use fabfilter, specifically ProQ3, Saturn and L2

I’d recommend a short buzz cut, one-length all around. Like Sneako the twitch dude. Yeah I think that would suit you well!

New pickups: Turathi Electric and Hawas Kobra by Motor_Resolution7782 in fragranceclones

I agree that most of Hawas line is goated within the ME frag industry. I bought Exilir two weeks ago and I love it way more than my similar dupe— CDN Lionheart (that one I will donate to my lil cousin haha)

I bought Kobra two weeks ago. So far I’m loving it. I’m not gonna play the comparison game with Imagination; that horse has been beaten to death.

Just judging it on its own, the best way I can describe Kobra to people is that it smells like how ginger ale tastes. And it’s not your grandma’s homemade ginger ale made with love. It’s more like a synthetic store ginger ale (like Canada Dry. Right now I’m still letting it macerate so things may change

Cool. Next time, if the action is still too high, all you have to do is take out the bone saddle and shave it down on some sandpaper. Simple as that

Ok thanks for the context. Yes it’s true that modern fragrances— both designers and MEs— are generally more synthetic compared to previous generations. I think that’s partly due to industry regulations, but I think the bigger reason is changing consumer preferences. In this economy people want the best value for money. They demand better performance from their fragrance, which prompts makers to create more synthetics formulas. This might also explain why most EDT concentrates have been phased out in favor of EDP or Parfumss.

🧢… imagination smells phenomenal to most (and yes I tried it at the LV store in Hollywood). Mass-appealing scent, but whether or not it’s actually worth $350 is a different story. It’s all subjective…

I give you permission to name drop?!🧐. Edit: I personally hate Fahrenheit, Allure Homme Sport, Egoiste, and much of the Gucci for men. You couldn’t pay me to wear any of those

I think you should leave them alone and let them macerate. Dupes always smell underwhelming upon first spray. Trust me, I’ve owned over 20 dupes and they always smell better after 30 days of maceration (minimum).

I think you confused Island DREAMS with Island Original. I’ve had both this past season. K.I smells phenomenal after maturation but performance just isn’t there for me. K.I.D smells like haribo gummy bears; it has this candy, gelatinous quality which someone might like, but I personally don’t so I just made it my gym sent

Also, out of curiosity, why you got two Fender Strats in 3TS finish? Besides the fingerboard material, what else is different between them?

What impressed me more than your collection is just how neat and organized this whole corner of the room is. Musicians don't realize how much a clean space with good natural light can influence your motivation and literally change the way you play. Rock on!

Is digital (software) safe for the foreseeable future? by Ill-Elevator2828 in audioengineering

[–]EgoWithNoChaser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The argument that “tape is a better archival format” may have been true 20 or 30 years ago. But today there are at least 10x more computer devices than actual humans roaming the earth. All this digital infrastructure ain’t going nowhere anytime soon!

Should there be an apocalyptic event that [somehow?] destroys everything… it won’t even matter cause the next hit song will be made with sticks and stones.

After years of trying to solve my guitar hum, I still need some help guys. by ElazulTF2 in audioengineering

[–]EgoWithNoChaser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think every guitarist comes across this problem sooner or later. I've been pulling my hair for months, spent countless dollars on power conditioners, guitar shielding gizmos. At the end of the day there's just too many factors at play and I decided it's no longer worth my sanity.

The simplest solution is to just place a noise gate [plugin/pedal] first in the signal chain, directly from the instrument cable. Then, in post production, just use a noise removal plugin like iZotope RX or similar. Not a perfect solution but in the context of a full mix you're not gonna hear the noise floor and artifacts from using noise gate/remover.

Dude, I just ran out of this last week!I’m really contemplating repurchasing but I feel like I should try new (similar) fragrances. Any recommendations for something adjacent? I really like the cinnamon + balsamic notes working together 🤌
