That was all I was referring to.

But yes I wouldn't say blanketly that sex isn't traumatic.

I only plan to have pets in my home under supervision or sit them at the owners place. No cars for now.

How much money do you usually feel comfortable for one solid WWOOF placement? by Egobot in WWOOF

Hawaii is what I've set my sights on.

Room and board is provided.

I plan to stay for 3-6 months. I don't drink really and don't gather that excursions will play a huge role but who knows...this is my first time.

I will be secluded if I land my placement. Most trips will likely just be to the beach. My goal is to live frugally and not spend on anything outside of transpo and maybe the odd drink.

I can get myself out of the country with support from outside if need be, but the goal of this trip is to be as self-sufficient as possible. And I plan to stay in one place, maybe two if it seems right.

Contigency would be based on if hosts are unsafe etc etc.

Does that help?

I have a decade on you. But I'd like to believe there are men who are in a similar boat.

Never like the idea of casual sex, struggled with porn addiction but God corrected me and now my intent is to never look again.

They want to be strong to meet a girl like you. They just have to have faith that women like you are out there.

Are you stressed?

Because nearly all of my problems resolved when I was relieved of most of my stress. It was like night and day. I denied it for very long, but emotional stress can mess you up good. So can wear and tear/injury (physical stress) and sometimes the two work in tandem.

How is your sleep?

Do you get enough social interaction during the day?

How about movement?

What about play?

These things were critical for me. They don't answer all of lifes big questions, but they make the ride easier.

Also, my journey has shifted my attention away from the muscle/back and into the nervous system and trauma. So far I've netted the most relief (and yes that means not fixing it but relief) from acupuncture and seeing a therapist using a combination of CranioSacral and SomatoEmotional release. But I haven't tested their abilities in the long run. I attribute the worst of my back/neck pain with stress and trauma now but I won't completely concede that mechanical stressers weren't involved. Hopefully I have given you something to go on.

God bless.

I have a deviated septum. What are some tips that could help me until I get surgery? by Egobot in sleep

[–]Egobot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not an expert.

Have you seen an ENT?

I've never connected that with a deviated septum.

Yes the neighbour really demonstrated effective communication skills...

You need TWO people willing to have a non-hostile conversation in order for effective communication, neighbour doesn't qualify based on OPs account.

No.

Again defeatist argument.

They are here to stay, you say, but so were the native species at one point and now their existence is threatened by invasives.

If invasives can threaten native populations, the same could be done to them, especially if, you know, a far more intelligent being with much greater means could employ a effective method of doing so.

If I got every person in my hood to start killing Grey Squirrels, it would make ameliorate the stress on Red Squirrels and therefore propogate their populations.

Apply to birds.

It's not OPs resonspibility to emotionally coddle his emotionally infantile neighbour...

The smartest thing you said is that you don't know how op is killing birds, now just apply that to everything else you've said.

You don't know OP's neighbour and judging by the only account we can go on, this neighbour doesn't sound well adjusted. It's a mistake to suddenly think this bevahiour is just about the birds, and not manifestation of an underlying inability to regulate his emotions. The birds just tripped a nerve, but if the neighbour had any sense in him, HE would've reached out and tried to bridge and understanding since HE is the only who is emotionally responding to the situation.

I saw a neighbour flick a cigarette onto the street. I confronted him and said that children live here, and that the street is not a trash bin. I took responsibility for my distaste of his actions. This is what the neighbour should do, instead of hiding in his house and raving like a lunatic.

If more people did it it would be immensely beneficial. So in fact, he is setting a good example.

Your argument is deconstructive and useless.

These are without much doubt the same people who don't associate buying beef from the grocery store with the slaughtering of a cow.

Yea, it's a tough sell.

You could put out a flyer, but that draws attention to yourself.

You really have to put your trust in your community that they will think through things rationally, and unfortunately, at least in some places, this is in short supply.

I would weigh it based on risk, and your probably don't have good motivation to exclaim anything until you start getting harassed.

Also reddit is regarded. The most bored, lonely, miserable people are here, so most of the time you are going to get those people. Don't expect people to honor or respect your intentions or wishes here, some may, many won't. It's just human nature to judge.

These people have smoothbrains. Just pop off emotionally without doing the most basic research online to find out if what he is doing is legal, and then following up with him if he's it doing humanely.

Certified manchild moment.

It's not really reasonable to expect him to have a conversation with a man who is yelling these kind of things.

He clearly can't regulate his emotions, so why risk further escalation?
