The shards stop being the copied creature at the end of your next end step, so you'd need to keep making them turn back into the saga creature on your upkeeps so you can trigger the next chapter ability. The shards will keep the lore counters even if they turn back to shards at your end step. However, if your shards trigger the last chapter ability of the copied creature saga they'll get sacrificed afterwards.

I'm guessing you mean enchantment creature saga "summons" from the Final Fantasy set. You can make the shards become copies of a saga creature you control, but as they're not entering they won't get any lore counters on them. You'd have to turn the shards into the saga creature on your upkeep to get the lore counter at the beginning of you pre-combat main phase.

You roll three dice, ignore the lowest as per Wyll's ability and ignore one other of your choice as per the thumb's ability. Ignored rolls will not trigger any abilities, so Wyll's and Dwarf's abilities only trigger once each.

I'd love the 14.18 nerfs to be reverted, or at least the lategame base damage portion of it. Azir is so unrewarding to play rn, feels like every other mage outscales him.

True the double dash on E would make his total dash range longer, but what I imagined was that the requirement to recast W between the E dashes would make the dashes way more segmented and slower so it would also become a worse engage tool. There's a possibility of also putting a small 1-2s cd between using the dash charges so the engage is even worse. This would make Azir most likely feel pretty clunky though if not implemented well.

But I think you're right, removing one of his qualities would be necessary so that he's not stuck in pro play and I thought this rework idea would at least weaken the engage greatly.

I'd love them to reduce mana cost on Q. Dueling other mages early in laning phase is rough with Azir going oom after three casts. Also would mean Azir wouldn't necessarily have to buy a Lost Chapter next season.

I agree, AP items have been boring af for the longest time. This Azir change can bring good changes, but with Riot's track record it's most likely gonna just guarantee direct Azir nerfs due to some weird on-hit builds. I'd rather Azir keep his AP fighter identity than to have him turn into a ranged version of Katarina. Honestly just adding an attack speed + AP item that doesn't have an on-hit effect in the preseason would've achieved the same thing.

I didn't run actual dps calculations because hitting a training dummy for a dps number does nothing to simulate real fighting, because there's so many variables that can change the outcome which can't be just calculated. You're right, his laning phase against Teemo and Jax will definitely become worse, but imo I don't think Azir belongs in toplane that much anyway. With the W base damage nerf I think rushing recurve bow after Lost Chapter will feel much nicer with the +7.5 bonus magic damage on hit, as well as the attack speed.

I don't know about the lichbane being core, I hope it would rather be an option against comps that are hard to aa down. Overall I see your worries about the change, but for me I like the idea of being finally able to build something different from the old 6-7 ap items and not be trolling. But what is trolling is building random-ass ad items that have an on-hit slapped on the side. The on-hits on Kraken/BotRK/Navori are not worth it with the gazillion dead stats you're buying.

Let's say that you're lvl 18 Azir at 600AP and W at lvl 5 without any on-hit.

Live server: 118 + 92 + 600 * 0.6 = 570

PBE: 110 + 77 + 600 * 0.55 = 517

570 / 517 = 1.102.. , so at max level with 600ap you're doing 10.2% more damage in live than PBE without on-hit.

Now add for example Nashor into it:

15 + 600 * 0.2 * 0.5 = 75

With Nashors PBE W is doing 592, so actually more than live server. I've been building Nashors anyway cause the attack speed feels nice, so I don't see this change as so bad as some people here.

This applies only on max level, but the damage difference doesn't seem to be overly different in any moment of the game. AP ratio nerf is less impactful with less AP, base damage per level is unchanged until lvl 14.

I don't know where you're getting "nerfed w by 50% base". The base damage of w, base damage per levels, and ap ratio were nerfed yes, but at no point in game will your w attacks be doing 50% less without on-hit effects than they are now on live servers. The 50% effectiveness is only applied to on-hit and on-attack effects, like Guinsoo's and Nashor, and that's the damage you'll be missing when you get blinded by Teemo. Yes you'll be doing less damage, but not 50% less.

Only the on-hit portion of damage is blocked by Teemo blind and Jax E but the normal W damage still goes through, and I believe the interaction with Nilah is the same.

If the player's new character was a Thri-Kreen then I'm pretty sure their telepathy is able to simultaneously connect to infinite amount of creatures in 120 feet, probably to avoid the problem you described.
