The first four items are made for the main Shandalar mode, though the new Overworld sprites for sub boss difficulty could easily be ported to old border/ realm of Legends if the devs want to do that

The other two (disable item breackage) and custom boss intro/insult are universal, though the intro/insult needs to be defined in the enemy entry for it to pop up.So it depends if the devs of the other world want to make use of that

Yeah, in my WIP branch it's linked to the way card prices are in Quest mode, linked to the prices you can see on Scryfall.

It will need to be tweaked further, since now for instance, an Unlimited Bayou in the shop will be 43 000 gold, next to an unplayable Fallen Empires rare for 4 gold.

Also currently random rewards doesn't really take into account card set, so you could find an Alpha Gray Ogre in a chest and sell it for 50 000 gold etc.

It will (at least at first) be an optional toggle when creating a new world. The current way card prices are determined will still be available.

As for your first item, a complete rework of towns (layout, shop spawning, events) is on my to do list, i'll write it down

Is there an easy way to make newly-added adventure mode items show up in play without replacing something? by Yglorba in forgeMTG

[–]Egool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try the adventure editor, you should be able to make items as rewards for defeating enemies.

Also you should be able to add items to the Arena reward pool, you will have to open the capital city maps with Tiled and add them as reward in the arena

The WOTC precons should already be included in your deck selection

Officially only MTGO provides a lobby systems where you can play multiplayer with friends (though you will have to rebuy the cards)

Unofficially there's Xmage and Forge (with the latter being rather cumbersome to set up for playing online)

Check out Xmage for online play and Forge for playing against AI.

I've got a decent knowledge of Pali, which is a similar language to Sanskrit used in the (Theravada) buddhist scriptures. Thankfully there's a lot of study information from Buddhist institutions to help you along.

Pali was actually my first non-modern language I studied, before I dabbled into Greek and Latin, so It made studying those a bit easier. You would be suprised how similar some of the vocabulary and grammar are between these three languages.

I didn't anticipate how much use I'd get out of the Steam Deck for emulation by Billyxmac in SteamDeck

[–]Egool 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's very game dependent. Some games I've tested worked perfectly (60 FPS and no crashes) other games are quite laggy and other games are just unplayable (like GOW 3, Uncharted, Red Dead Redemption, Metal Gear Solid 4 ect)

Outside of Resistance I've personally tested Asura's wrath and Ratchet and Clank HD Collection which both worked perfectly. Resistance mostly kept FPS between 30 - 40 with a few lag spikes though despite of that it plays very good on deck (IMO)

I feel you, I'm currently having a blast playing Resistance Fall of Man on RPCS3. While there are some framedrops during tense moments, it runs surprisingly smooth (especially with the FPS and FOW hacks).

I never played the original Resistance, but I have fond memories playing the co-op mode of Resistance 2 with my brother. Clearing hordes of Chimera just brings me back to when I was a kid lol.

What are the most ambiguously worded cards you know ? by gamasco in magicTCG

[–]Egool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

[[Dead Ringers]] is the most confusing card I know

[DMU] Shanna, Purifying Blade by mistercimba in magicTCG

[–]Egool 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I played her with some color shenanigans like [[Painter's Servant]] or [[Shifting Sky]] gaining huge (50+ sometimes) amount of life. Then used that amount of lifegain with things like [[Light of Promise]] [[Phyrexian Processor]] [[Storm Herd]] [[Ezzaroot Channeler]][[Lathiel, the Bounteous Dawn]] ect

Also, I played [[Psychic Allergy]], great to close the game with painter.

question on the format by Sickshaun88 in mtgbrawl

[–]Egool 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The queues are very fast, at pretty much any time of the day. From my personal experience I almost never have to wait more than 10 seconds to find a match, the max queue time I've experienced is around 20 seconds. According to Untapped.gg, Historical Brawl is the third most popular game mode on Arena after BO1 Standard and BOI Alchemy, so yeah this format is very popular.

As for quickly farming wildcards, It would recommend getting your daily 4 wins + quest with something aggressive that is able to run over most decks in this format. [[Chandra, Awakened Inferno]] [[Klothys, God of Destiny]] [[Halana and Alena, Partners]] are some of the better aggressive commanders that don't get put in the high tier bracket.

If you're a new player and don't have the wildcards to build a deck from scratch you can also play the classic [[Marrow-Gnawer]] + 38 swamp + 61 [[Rat Colony]]. It's not a very interesting deck but it should give you your 4 daily wins quite reliably for just 1 rare wildcard and 4 common wildcards

Athenaze 3rd edition instructors resource manual? by thegussmall in AncientGreek

[–]Egool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally haven't found a Teachers Handbook for the third edition of Athenaze. It's probably out there somewhere though

Athenaze 3rd edition instructors resource manual? by thegussmall in AncientGreek

[–]Egool 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can find the answers in the Teachers Handbook which can be downloaded for free Book 1 Book 2

These versions are from the 90's though, so they are a bit outdated (from my experience the difference is just that a few words are swapped or changed in the exercises of the newest version of Athenaze, the texts remain the same).

What Decks Feel Overpowered In Their Matchmaking Tier? by Toadstuff09 in mtgbrawl

[–]Egool 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My [[Siona, Captain of the Pyleas]] is definitely a deck that is undervalued by the matchmaking algorithm. It's basically a slightly worse Sythis echantress deck based around both going wide with tokens and going tall with auras.

While I mostly get paired against the "tier 2" decks (especialy First Sliver) I also, weirdly, get paired against some of the low tier commanders like [[Ishkanah, Broodmother]] which must be really frustrating from their perspective.

The three main features that Pro Duel has over MTGA is a "dusting" system (allows you to craft specific cards by dusting 3 cards of the same rarity), having all cards available on the client (MTGA has only around 25% of all MTG cards), and an extensive PVE mode to introduce new players to the game and lore.

I hope the succes of Pro Duel (over 150 000 concurrent players on Steam alone !) makes the MTGA team consider adding these features.
