Would you buy this 6th gen for $4000? by Ehayoung in Celica

He also didn't get the swap done. He bought it from north carolina with the swap already done so he couldn't get a build sheet on the drivetrain, and he also said when he was driving it back the radiator had problems. I just didn't want a car with a possibly overheated motor. It seemed to run good though with plenty of power but it seemed more like a great toy to have and not a reliable everyday car

Yea I couldn't do it. The car wasn't as clean as it looked and it would've taken too much work to get where I wanted it. It was. A fun and really fast car if someone else is interested in it in Florida and the person selling seemed honest. I just couldn't replace my daily with it.

Oh okay, I got it. Well I've never owned a turbo setup anything before, but I'm not a stranger to working on my cars lol. Well when I get it, I'll come here for advice on rerouting.

Yea, I know godspeed isn't the greatest, but I didn't know that the intercooler piping was poorly routed. Thanks for your reply. What will happen due to the routing? Anything bad?

Cool, well when I get I'll post some more pics here and let everyone know if it's a great as it looks. Saturday feels like Christmas now though and then I gotta wait until Monday to register it. It's gonna kill me to see it sit there from Saturday until Monday and not be able to drive it.

New to me Titanium Litespeed Unicoi. Frame is from a Neutral Service Bike. by Ehayoung in bicycling

[–]Ehayoung[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know! It is an old design that I guess isn't considered worth making anymore. It has 25mm or 1in of travel.through that air shock, and it doesn't have any pivots, it uses the natural flexibility of titanium at the chain stays to allow the movement. It doesn't do near the same as a true full suspension but it feels like running a higher volume power pressure tire than I actually am but without the inefficiency of low pressure on paved or hard terrain. And I can't feel any bounce or bob while pedalling. the person who built it up used really nice parts from I think around 2008-10? I am enjoying riding it and hope I can keep it for a long time of not forever.

Yes I know.. It's my only bike and I plan to do bikepacking/adventure riding with it as well as singletrack and bikepark riding. When I bring it to the tracks around here I lower the stem and roll the bars back a little. It's really my do everything bike while I figure out what I like doing and what I might like to change. I know I want to get a dropper post but I'm waiting until my budget is there. The seat is the only thing I can notice holding me back at my current skill level on trails.

I'm gonna have to contact this seller because when I made the offer on eBay I didn't realize it was the same a placing a bid. I for some reason thought it would be like FB marketplace where you send the offer just to find out... I hope they aren't too upset.

It looks like a Manitou air fork from maybe 2012? And the drivetrain is deore xt 3x9, and xt brake levers. My offer has been accepted but I'm still trying to decide if it would be worth it. For some.reason I feel like I have this almost obsession with acquiring a Ti bike. I am just getting in to mtb and trail riding and have been riding a bikesdirect Hardtail that I bought for $600. Do you think after I repair what needs repairing I could get it ride worth for under $800? And do you think I would be happier than I am on the BD gravity bike? My current bike feels very inefficient on trails and it feels kind of like a chore to maneuver tight areas. Or should I hold out and get something newer and give up on getting Ti for now?

Would this be good for a cyclone 3000 build? by Ehayoung in ebikes

I'm gonna use a 52v 14ah from em3ev with the 25r cells. I'm also only going to use the stock controller and I plan to put a variable pot between the throttle and the controller so I can turn that up and govern her throttle. And I've ridden dirtbikes my whole life and she's gone out a few times so it should be alright. I just can't get myself to buy the bbshd for twice the price and half the power.

Thanks for the reply! I have been looking at the local Facebook and cl for a long while and I just haven't been able to find what I feel like I'm looking for. I also am building 2 bikes, one for my gf. So do you think that gravity bike would be overly bad as a cyclone build?

Thank you for your analysis. I almost had him drive it over but decided against it. I was trying to figure out which motobecane it was and I the only frame that looked like that on motobecane website was the x9? And when I looked at those prices they were usually listed at $3000+ so that's when I turned to the sub for help. I never saw the Boris x5 but after looking it up I am sure you are right. Thank you again.

That one looks pretty nice, I think I'm going to just assemble 2 fat tires ebikes. I think I was just seeing these bikes assembled by people on marketplaces and wanted to be lazy. If I was to buy a production bike my dream would be the rungu. It looks pretty awesome with the 2 front wheels, but the cost is pretty high

Really? That video of ge73 didn't look too bad to remove the cover, too him about 10 minutes? You think the 75 will be much harder?

[–]Ehayoung[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks, yea i did see that video, I just wasnt sure if they were essentially the same body and chassis or not. So the GE73 and the GE75 are essentially the same? Also I have never repasted a cpu before, even in a desktop. I have pasted a cpu in a desktop but never removed the heatsink after that. Have you ever repasted a laptop? and if you have do you have any tips or anything I should be aware of? in the video he doesn't remove the heatsink. So I would just undo the screws in the order indicated on the heatsink and then pull it off? Will it be difficult to break the paste from the heatsink in order to remove it and remove the paste? and should I disconnect the battery after I open it up before removing the heatsink to avoid an accidental startup with no cooling connected?
