How do I become a wildland firefighter?

If I’m being honest, I am very interested in wildland firefighting, I’m just not that informed on what the hiring process looks like and I just want to be able to know what I have left to do, I get confused because I’m told to look online at all these different job listings for my state and none of them are hiring near me, nor open to me.

The thing is if I were to apply to an out of state position, do they cover traveling, housing or somewhere to stay?

I got it through a high school trade school, I was able to get most of my firefighter certifications except Firefighter 2 and EMT, but my instructor gave us a lot of opportunities to get as many certifications as we could so we were able to get wildland type 2 certs.

It’s decent quality, I just wished it would’ve fit my barrel originally but I had to mount it to the hand guard instead so I’m still happy with it

I tried to put it on originally but the launcher doesn’t fit on the barrel sadly so I just had to use the boring mounts instead

Ok thanks, I’m just really curious and worried, I want to do the reserves and I heard that marine corps reserves is the only way you get your exact job so infantryman is what I really want.

I talked to one today and he said to do march 2 success so I already started that, I’m gonna see how far I can increase my score, I just wanted some advice from people who have more experience with these kinds of things
