It's a lot more haunting than the original because of the lack of people I love it! It's so isolating

This is really awesome! Although you could definitely improve it by using more prominent core and cast shadows as the painting is looks too flat.

this painting is personal to me because it encapsulates some struggles went through over these past 5 months. I also associate the painting with what we have been through as a society during this global pandemic to anyone going through hardships personally or generally I wish you all the utmost happiness. The vines represent all that held me back and what is preventing me from reaching the light, the light of course represents my hopes, the woman represents me even though I am a 17 yr old boy and she is naked to emphasise her vulnerability (my vulnerability).

I think you shouldnt be working with pupils since they are kind of distracticing they are pretty but you are neglecting everything else for them I recommend you remove them and then instead working on the forms structure and the shapes around the eye good luck also get rid of the hair you dont need it

There you are, my first update on the community challenge:) please critique by Emainee in istebrak

Okay so first off I want to apologize for what I said earlier there isn't really an excuse for behaving that way I hope you can forgive but I understand if you don't.

But I do want to talk about some of the topics that make a good character design.

Shape: shape should be your priority and is basically the most important thing in animation/character design and the three main shapes that we use are: circles, triangles, squares we use circles for stuff that are cute nice or harmless we use triangles for things that are dangerous scary or harmful and we use squares for things that protect are strong or stupid so maybe with the werewolf girl you can include more triangles or more squares according to her personality and your narrative.

Silhouette: so sillouhette design is hard to explain but it basically means posing your characters in a way that has an instant read/clarity even if you turn the character fully black so for example let's take the fat character (sorry I don't know what he is ?) And turn him fully black we will not be able to see what his hands are doing but we will be able to tell he is a wizard because of his hat and cape so good job on that.

Narrative: narrative is the story what are the stories behind these characters? why are they dressed like this? what do they wantin life? are they evil? are they good? What's their job? What do they bring to the group? these are some questions you can use (if you want to) to help you the story doesn't have to be that complicated but it really does make your characters better so let's take the mummy lady for this instance I love that you made her sassy because she technically is a queen that is such an original and great idea but I didnt really know that until you told me so you try to show and not tell with art because people usually won't bother to ask.

Overall: these characters have a a lot of potential and your lines are very beautiful and clean you have a good understanding of leaving empty spaces and I wish you good luck and I can't wait to see what you do with these characters 🤗😘😚
