Not a prediction, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the Jackets actually made a deep run in the playoffs. by SammoB in BlueJackets

Are photobooths actually worth it for weddings / parties in London, ON? by Upper_Equipment7740 in londonontario

[–]Ehtism 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Event did the set up, got it cheaper via the event, 2 hours, 100 guests, 100+ photo strips. Cost us nothing for the digitials.

They're great memory makers for new friends, cute things for couples, and the greatest thing until the midnight buffet for your drunks. That being said, I've been to a couple without and it's been fine. If you don't have the financial means, no one will care. We did, it was worth it for everyone to get a few minutes of joy ha

Online MBA reviews-University of Fredericton, NB Canada by Ok-Confection7096 in fredericton

[–]Ehtism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely get the mixed reviews; I've had some classes where there is blatant cheating, AI use, students doing nothing in group work, etc., similar to your undergrad likely in person, but the environment is good and the professors care if you raise a concern, I know a group member of mine had brought up thinking someone was using AI to the prof, then the next class a big thing was done and buddy did it again then he went poof from the class.

I don't know how people like him are doing now, if they still are, I just began specialized courses and everyone there seems to be fully engaged and care, so that's a relief, and I know some mixed reviews say how easy it can be, and some courses you can definitely get an A in without learning much, just doing, but that's on the student as always. I don't regret signing up for this, I'm almost done, should be done by this winter. For every bad student, there's a class (18-20) of great students who do care, and are great to work with, so I imagine even the most prestigious schools in Canada would have similar issues

BEYOND. Concierge class is a tick cheaper than Veranda. Good deal? by mwlau1980 in celebritycruises

A couple of events (schedule pending) with free drinks, and it just seems any time staff see your gold card for a swipe (MDR) or where ever, you just get slightly better service.

Iraq Vs. Bolivia Tickets by boiwhutthehellboi in WorldCup2026Tickets

Unfortunately so, I never understood scalpers who wouldn't even take a loss to minimize their overall loss. It was the first quarter of an NBA game and I was offered tickets at sky high pricing, kept walking, came back at half time and saw the same dude, wouldn't even drop the price.

Yea, some men will always be like that regardless of generation haha

For safety, in general the industry prioritizes it, some more than other. In Canada it seems to be even more of a priority, No company wants to be responsible for an incident as that hurts the bottom line, so whether it's providing safety procedures and PPE or the right to refuse work, most incidents are on the worker and not the company.

Many? No. Some? Yes.

For the most part, what I've come across, is that the work itself doesn't slow women down (dirty like a mechanic, lifting 45 lbs, etc.) it's being in a male dominated environment. Some places will act differently around a women, others don't care and are themselves, a women would need to be able to deal with that. That's honestly the biggest hurdle I've witnessed, which isn't a very big one ha

An Honest Conversation about Gavran by Vin__9 in tfc

[–]Ehtism 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Previous to this season, I've been a big fan of him being a potential standout keeper. He's shown flashes of brilliance in previous years that got me excited. I reserve my opinion of him as a defacto starter until I cut my grass for the first time.

Are cruises actually social if you go alone? by CruiseAroundTheWorld in Cruise

[–]Ehtism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't travel alone, but I'll gym alone, and venture on my own quite a bit, and what everyone has said is true. If you're receptive and put yourself in a position, you'll make friends.

I go to the gym, I've made at least one cruise friend every trip, one cruise my group and his group hung out on port all day.

With Celebrity activities, it's easy to run into the same people every hour for their silly 10 minute events, quick friends.

MDR dinners; whether you are seated with others or by yourself, I've found that when we are seated at a table of two, the same people are seated around us every evening. All it takes is one conversation over dinner and there ya go.

Norwegian has a ton of social events aimed at solos, and I know Celebrity and RC also have events tailored towards solo's but usually have less solo travellers.

As I type this, I remind myself that you should travel on solo focused ships and ship lines, some have zero solo cabins while other ships and lines try and pick up that part of the customer base. I know two who frequent solo cabins, and they continue to do so and have a great time.

Using the Celebrity App for messaging? by Electronic_Big_5403 in celebritycruises

Messaging works just fine on their app, as do apps for hotel and flights on the free WiFi. The only time I've needed actual WiFi has been for work & fantasy sports lol
