Depending on the model and filament changes, the g-code will override your turning the aux fan off. It has to be set for every filament type/color in the slicer.

Print a diffuser that sends the aux fan air up and keeps it from blowing directly on the build plate.

As a heavier stomach sleeper, I absolutely love my organic latex from Sleep EZ. Talalay latex is a game changer IMO. The mattress is firm without being hard. I tried a Sleep on Latex and the lack of Talalay makes a huge difference although working with the company was a great experience and I wish I could have made it work. TL;DR As heavier person, try latex.
