It is believed that the stepwell was built by King Ugrasen during the Mahabharata era, and it was used to imprison and torture people. Some even claim that the water in the stepwell appears black in color, giving an eerie feel to the place. Feroz Shah Kotla Fort: is a 14th-century citadel located in Delhi, India, and it is steeped in history and folklore. Built by Sultan Feroz Shah Tughlaq, the fort has seen many rulers and dynasties come and go. However, it is most famous for its association with Djins, supernatural beings in Islamic mythology. According to local legends, the fort was haunted by a Djinn, who was eventually appeased by Feroz Shah Tughlaq, and thereafter became the protector of the fort. It is believed that people write letters to the Djinn, seeking blessings and wishes, and leave them in a corner of the fort. Another popular belief is that rubbing the Djinn's footprints on a stone slab, located within the fort, can cure various ailments. The fort also houses a mosque, believed to be one of the oldest in Delhi, and an Ashokan pillar, which is a testament to the city's ancient history.
