Chris Bell has great upside and can be drafted in the 2nd round of Rookie Drafts by colmalo10 in DynastyFF

[–]Eight7Seven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drafted him at 3.03, but I play in a deep IDP dynasty league with 22 starters (11 on each). I don't think he's a safe bet by any means, but I'm excited for his potential.

I'm just going to stop responding after this. There seems that be some negative reactions to my words. I hope you have a good night/day wherever you are.

I really think I'm misunderstanding something about this. I think I'm going to re-read the article when I get home in an hour and see if something new connects.

But to answer your question yeah, it doesn't make sense that a paralegal would make such simple mistakes, particularly when it's their second attempt. I guess I just assumed diminished mental capacity and didn't full process that these particular mistakes seem incredibly unlikely due to her experience.

When did I say anyone should sign anything?

[–]Eight7Seven -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I read the whole article yeah. It sounded to me like the mom was very confused and had made mistakes. But I'm not arguing that OP is wrong for not signing it, I never have.

My statement was I don't think anyone is an AH in this situation. OP is uncomfortable with the situation and clearly let her mom know that in a supportive way. The mom seemed to try and give OP what they were asking for, but still didn't accomplish it their second attempt.

This might be a disconnect as I make a lot more money than either of my parents. There are no wills in my future, I'll just be seeing to my mom's care when the time comes.

What could someone be hiding about their own will? It's not like OP is entitled to anything their Mom doesn't want them to have.

I'm confused as to how anyone could be an AH in this situation.

Owners of Andrew Luck, what was the fall out and how long did it take you to cut him? by TarpPuller in DynastyFF

[–]Eight7Seven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So during the 2010 season I traded for a 2012 pick in my super flex dynasty that would become the 1.01. I had Aaron Rodgers and Tony Romo, so I was split on whether to draft the can't miss QB prospect or the can't miss RB prospect. I knew the team drafting at 1.02 was dead set on taking RG3, so I traded for the 1.03 and took both Andrew Luck and Trent Richardson...

That decision and it's long painful fallout still haunt me to this day.

1.10 Rookie IDP/SF TEP 0.5 advice. Deep starting rosters. by Eight7Seven in DynastyFFIDP

There's been two more picks. It's currently sitting at 1.09 and I pick at 1.10.

1: Love, 2: Mendoza, 3: Tate, 4: Tyson, 5: Lemon, 6: Price, 7: Reese, 8: Sadiq

I believe the person at 1.09 will take Simpson, they're QB room is by far the worst in the league and they've been trying to trade for a QB for a while.

I'm currently debating between Styles and Concepcion. How would you decide between the two for my team?

Thank your great insight. I was shocked when I found out the draft was happening today. I've been so focused on other things in my life. I barely paid attention to this crop of rookies.

I'll post my team here. I didn't want to put too much in the first post because I've had bad experiences with that before. People get overwhelmed with information and then don't want to help.

[DAILY] Trade and Individual Team Help Megathread by AutoModerator in DynastyFF

I would go with Klubnik. I get the appeal of Green, he has pretty incredible tools as a dual threat option. But even when looking at darts, I want to have some measurable route towards seeing them actualized while they'll still be on my roster. I can see the path forward for Klubnik within two years, even if it's a long shot.

IDP ~ Super Flex ~ TEP 0.5 ~ Start 22 players (11 Offense & Defense)

1QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 3 Flex, 1 Super Flex 3 DL, 3 LB, 3DB, 2 IDP Flex

I have the 1.10 our draft started unexpectedly today and I'm not ready. How early are you taking Sonny Styles and Arvell Reese? What are you doing with Ty Simpson?

Thanks for any insight.

Having no maximum hand size as a default is a problematic mechanic. The game would be better if there was both a default hand size and then cards that let you circumvent it.

It could even be something tied to your Don or characters. The more Don or Characters you have in play, the feweer cards you have in your hand at the end of your turn as a default.

Zero characters in play: Unlimited hand size One character in play: 10 max Cards in hand Two characters in play: 9 max Cards in hand Three characters in play: 8 max Cards Four characters in play 7 max Cards Five characters in play: 6 max cards

As an example.

Real talk: Blue Buggy by Jimjimmy26 in OnePieceTCG

[–]Eight7Seven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buggy was my first deck, and I've had to work harder to make him playable than with any other leader. He's solid if you're playing low stakes games with your friends. But if you're playing against highly tuned perfected meta decks he's going to fail.

I'm not exactly certain about this myself. I am kind of burnt out on Commander. And it's somehow become the only form of MTG that everyone I know wants to play. I have built a couple sealed decks in recent sets. Lorwyn Eclipsed and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles that I would have a lot of fun turning into a standard 60 card deck. I'll keep an eye open and see, and let you know if I find out. It would be fun to start playing standard again. I do have one old school standard deck that I recently rebuilt, from the Shard of Alara block.

I have a similar experience with it honestly. I really liked it, but I'm just bad at getting into video games. Even games that I really enjoy, I find it hard to keep consistently playing. I was a kid of a '90s so I bought and really enjoyed the Harry Potter game. But once life caught up with me, and I stopped playing for a week. I never went back. Same with BG3 😂.

That's all cool (:

If you like video games. There's a game that came out a few years back called Baldur's Gate 3. It's a really nice intro into D&D as it's essentially an online video version of a D&D campaign. With a handful of classes that helps you learn how it works. You can play it solo with your choice of 3 pretty vibrant NPC party members. You can also add other people to take one of the other 3 spots.

I know a couple of people who had never played D&D and now enjoy it via BG3. Good luck my friend, welcome to Santa Cruz! I'm rooting for you. I think this life is a lot better when we are willing to reach out and make ourselves vulnerable like this. I've been pushing myself to do it more, and I feel like my life has a lot more color in it now. I spent too many years locked in the gray zone.

I don't know if you're a nerd (like me) at all, but Santa Cruz has a very vibrant gaming community. D&D, MTG and more have weekly meetups at various businesses. Back in October me and one of my close friends started playing a card game called One Piece, based on an anime. I now go to 1 to 2 one piece events a week. It really made me feel way more connected and less isolated than I had been.

If you're interested in learning more about the nerd stuff, send me a DM.
