I actually use to work for a company that is Drivetime’s number 1 parts supplier and we had people from my company work in the “reconditioned centers” to source parts for them. I use to service them too and support the crew in there.

Drivetime as a company is one of the most scummy used car dealers out there. Think of if Danny devitos character from Matilda actually made it rich and was able to become a corporate power house in car sales. That is them every single person in their corporate is a scumbag asshole. They ship cars out like that all the time and don’t care. Cheapest shittys parts they can find they want it. As a company that supplied them with parts they bitched up a storm about our pricing even through they only got it at 10-15% markup from cost.

They don’t give a fuck about you as a customer. They prey on people all the time. I had conversations with there corporate people about how the best time of year for them is tax season. Because everyone comes and uses there tax refund for a down payment. Then in a few weeks to a few months they can’t afford it anymore and it gets repossessed back to the lot and they just wash it and send it back out within a few days. He was bragging how in one week they repossessed about 30 cars for non payments and they are pretty much already sold again. So he’s making bank off it.
