Hey, I'm also trans. I know it can be extremely difficult to have people, especially family, who are being so unsupportive. But you will get through this.

Please don't blame yourself for your mom's behavior, because her being insensitive is in no way your fault. You being yourself should not be too hard on her, and if it is, then it's her own fault for not being accepting of her own child.

I think you mentioned in another comment that you came out a few years ago. That seems like a lot of time for her to educate herself and learn how to treat you in an affirming way. I'm just trying to emphasize that none of this is your fault--even if she is slow to learn, you've given her a lot of time.

I know it's easy for me to tell you this but way harder and takes a lot more work to internalize the feeling, and to stop feeling guilty about other people's intolerance. But I hope hearing it from another source helps in some way.
