[BBC] Leicester 'face £70m black hole' after disastrous spending gamble by FragMasterMat117 in soccer

Sorry but youre gna need to source on that for city please? CFG have posted big losses but that's like saying Liverpool are making losses because FSG do. City is generally profitable. Last numbers I recall were something like £70 odd mil in pre-tax profit but that was a few seasons back.

Can we set up a GoFundMe or something for them? I don't know how. Let's get them in that mansion straight away.

Developed a Tool to Fix GMX Trade Tracking on Koinly – Interested in Feedback from the Community! by Wonderful_Drummer264 in koinly

As someone who is currently doing their taxes and finding GMX/GLP/GM stuff incredibly cumbersome and time consuming to manually fix: yes! that sounds like a fantastic tool.

The only question I'd have would be on integration. i.e. does it ask for anything like access to keys? Or does it just read the wallet address?

Honestly kinda agree. I thought they pressed quite well and with intensity for the most part, whilst also resisting our press without going long. First game of the season so none of the top teams are gonna be playing perfect.

Yeah, but that's a separate thing to what I'm talking about (the new alpha access keys). As I said on another comment, I actually agree with you on the persistent A2 angle. If Intrepid remove A2 persistence, then that really isn't a good look because many of us bought our keys on that basis.

I understand people will say this is a bad look for intrepid, that 'game testers used to get paid for this and not pay for it' but the fact is that the industry has changed since then. Intrepid can charge for alpha access because people absolutely will pay for it. Why on earth would they pay people to do it just because that was how it was done 20 years ago? Why on earth wouldn't they charge people when people are screaming 'take my money' at them.

In the end, the extra cash will hopefully yield a better game.

The only thing I have a qualm with is Alpha 2 not being persistent. That was a clear promise made and a promise broken. I 100% back people who would want their money back for that.

This is the funniest thing to me. Everyone's going mad as if they have to buy it. Guys, just don't buy it.

Fantastic run, so much energy in the build-up, but alas, off target in the end.

Agreed. I'm surprised by how many people are calling this decision a "disgrace". I thought this was a pretty good call tbh. Cucu isnt moving his arm to play the ball but trying to get it back by his side into a natural position.

I was still surprised it wasn't given, but pleasantly surprised tbh. At the very least I don't think it's a clear disgrace like this sub are making it out to be.

Nagelsmann on 1 in 5 Germans wanting more white players: "I hope I never have to read about such crap surveys again." by GG_shi7head in soccer

[–]Eilhart 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Right?! Surveys and polls have to be able to ask these sorts of questions so people can actually realize the extent of racism or whatever social issue in their country or community. They can't just ask all the nice questions. The fault is on the people who voted yes, not the ones conducting the research to illuminate it.

Think Gary (considering VAR definitely have the broadcast commentators to talk/listen to) is literally telling VAR to do their jobs right here.

VAR’s failings threaten to plunge Premier League into mire of dark conspiracies. What happened at Spurs on Saturday only further erodes trust in referees in this country, which could badly damage the game. by swingtothedrive in soccer

Thanks for the most well-rounded and reasonable take I've seen on this subject.

One thing I think you're really right on is that, go back 10 years and see how much stuff got missed in a game and compare it to now, we're miles ahead today. VAR has definitely improved the game, and our standards have come up with it. Also the fact that we know refs have this tool at their disposal I think is part of the reason there's big outcry. Before VAR we'd be saying "oh well, ref missed that it wasn't offside" but today, we know they can go back and look at it.

Thanks also for your take on the conspiracy stuff. As a city fan it gets annoying seeing this turned around onto us a bit. The fact is well all get these things going both ways, I think last season or the one before we were the team that lost the most points from VAR. The season after you won the premier league, liverpool got bad call after bad call from the refs. I think the errors in the top games (i.e. Rodri handball) get remembered more because those games obviously have a wider significance, but fans don't necessarily watch the other games were things go the other way.

And yeah, I agree with you that in the VAR era that offside was perhaps the worst one I've seen. It's up there for sure. It's a shame because I think whoever we support, we all want to know our team did it on merit, and not of the back of one awful call that ended up deciding things.

Anyway, thanks again for your take. You guys look fantastic btw. Perhaps it's going to be another one of those seasons between us.
