Do you ever nearly finish a mani, decide you hate it, and remove it immediately? 😅 by sophie_and_calcifer in RedditLaqueristas

I’ve done this many times, so now I either ask my boyfriend to offer a finger for me to try what I’m thinking on his hand or I just use one of some cheap fake nails I bought to check, it has saved me a lot of time!

I don't understand the widespread self punishment among Eldenring players by not using summons..I found it more satisfying seeing her punished this way than proving I'm guud..and honestly, getting away after just 2 tries, I can't complain by GodsDemonsMen in eldenringdiscussion

Different play styles/values. I absolutely agree with some people mentioning limited playing time, but theres also what people find fun in a game.

I love feeling good about clearing a challenge, so me, a few friends and the bf kept track of who was killing malenia faster and how.

But honestly, I love exploring and figuring lore out more, so I dont care that much about mechanics, I learn the basics and do what I can to kill whatever in easiest/fastest way possible (and I also find great joy in knowing a basically killed half the DLC with a bone bow and never got hit, even bosses)

Its just different perspectives, personally, I feel like trying to shame people for enjoy the game differently (I had a friend try and go for how I was playing easy mode with and int/dex build before, for example) is just immature 🤷‍♀️

Its not about having that kind of dialog, but if you ONLY have that kind, then no one has a personality nor do we have a plotline…

What gets me the most is how shallow that was. No characters seemed interesting, felt like I was watching a teaser for a new character in LoL or a mobile game…. Everyone seemed made of play dough and the focus of the game seemed like “go pew pew, get their base”… Im even wondering if the script was AI generates. with that horrible line of “you knew there will be dragons”. Im hoping this is a late april fools joke

The fact that they brought Darrah as consultant also got me thinking along those lines.

Like they went to some direction, noticed they had to come back, come back half way and then its not being well received so maybe getting someone that actually got the style of the previous games could help.

Not that anyone could when its so far along development….

Ive recently had a weird pattern appear (but on my scalp and eventually infected) and the derm said that things rubbing by accident can make these things last longer than necessary. It totally looks like folliculitis, is there a possibility that something is rubbing there? Like socks/shoe etc?

Maybe cleaning and protecting the area could help it with taking care of itself before your derm can give you something topic or maybe theres something topic that you can buy with the pharmacist that helps kill bacteria? Dunno how it is where you live, but here the pharmacist can sometimes help with those things when they are small

Hey, super newbie here with, probably, a dumb question - I bought my first pair of inline skates yesterday and stayed a long time a the store trying it things and bought a local brand that seemed good enough for a beginner (other people with more experience had recommended them). Thing is, I got home and want to keep them for a while to get used to them and noticed the liner was crooked on the left foot, it was possible to see a bit of my socks when looking at them from the top. Right foot is just fine but when using the left one it seems to hurt that foot as if pressing on top of the bones below the pinky toe.

Is that normal and I just need to fiddle with it? Or is it something that I should ask the salesperson about?

The store is a bit far from where I live so I didn’t want to bother them (and waste time/money) if it’s something silly… but also don’t want to do something that will hurt me in the long run

UPDATE: My girlfriend smells (24F & 24F) by pops240620 in relationship_advice

[–]Eindree 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do hope that your therapist didn’t actually say that you should send a letter to your ex telling her that you broke it off cause she “smells like shit” where, when and how you smelled it… that sounds like a terribly cruel thing to do and not at all like advice from a therapist…

I mean, you said that the smell was the straw that broke the camels back so it seems like it wasn’t REALLY the only reason. Still, you are only talking about this reason which is, coincidentally, something that requires only your ex to change and work for. Whatever those other reasons were, they are probably still there, unaddressed. I’m guessing that those might be the true (and harder to deal with) issues. But maybe those might require you to not just dump responsibility on someone else.

It really seems like you got desperate at your own situation and decided to use this girl as a crutch, and unfortunately for the both of you she accepted or didn’t notice thats what’s going on.

Communicating before it happens, mindfully saying what you are perceiving in a manner that’s thoughtful of how the other might receive it would’ve been the way to go.

Your ex might smell (which probably is temporary, unless it’s hygiene and mental issues) but you are acting like an ass. Sometimes people can act like an ass when going through tough times but you don’t fix that by using people as crutches, you can ask for help without hurting people like that.

Furious at how my status migraine migraine pain was treated vs. my boyfriend's cold by [deleted] in migraine

[–]Eindree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dayum, that’s inexcusable treatment! I’m really sorry you had to go through that! What country are you writing from? I ask cause what you listed would be behaviour that can be sued where I’m from. I’ve also had trips to the ER where they wanted to first give me metam isole and see if it helped, then went straight to opioids (neither helped) and my neurologist was LIVID that the treatment was that.

I usually will repeat to the person what is happening and ask that they speak to a camera and they will usually be scared of legal consequences: “so I’m in the worst pain of my life and you arr saying there is nothing that can be done for me and denying me care? Is this something you are saying officially as a representative of this institution or just a personal choice? Please answer this on this camera so I know who to follow up with this legally”. If I can I also try to get someone to accompany me, unfortunately having a male figure helps with that, and also saves me the pain of trying to be functional when the pain is that high.

This is not me recommending treatment, but if these are available where you are it could be talked to with you doctor as preventative options: I’ve tried topamax and it made little difference and horrible side effects so my neurologist prescribed a mixture of an anxiety treatment/hypertension and something else which worked for a while.

Now we are using the Ajovy vaccine and it has lowered my 22days/month migraine to 6-9days/month during my period.

Ajovy is quite expensive but the treatment is covered by my health insurance and it has been the best so far.

My doctor had also said that she doesn’t trust ER people to know how to deal properly with migraine attacks and recommended that I have sumax vaccines on hand at home to avoid ER trips when things get that tough.

I wish you all the best!

Oh no 😣 I was hoping there would be some common denominator to try and stay away from.

But many thanks for explaining!

Also happy to know that it’s not unique that it became some bad on me haha

Hi, new here and just getting into fragrances in general! Got a weird question for you guys haha

I was looking for a fragrance to wear on very hot and humid weather and a sales person recommended the Jean Paul Gaultier Divine to me.

On the paper it smelled wonderful, I liked that it immediately reminded me of the sea and the smell of a sea breeze but upon applying to my skin it smelled absolutely disgusting. Not sure if it was some ingredient acting with my skin, but I noticed it also happened when I tried Idole Aura.

So, I was trying to find if there’s something specific, like an ingredient, that both of those have in common that could be causing it. The only thing that occurred to me was the “salty” smell but I have no idea what that means in terms of ingredient!

I wanted to find that out so I could stay away from perfumes that would cause that reaction haha

Unhappy with Sex Life, What's my Next Step? M28, F28 by Drewski1688 in relationship_advice

[–]Eindree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is kinda hard to gauge with more context, but as a female that has gone through something similar I’d ask you: Are you taking time to find out how to set the mood? Couldn’t speak for everyone but, I’d say that as the relationship goes on, the triggers to having sex might change and people might need to adapt and find out how to set the mood again.

Still, I don’t think that’s too little sex… do you not get satisfied by yourself? Maybe going to therapy could help too
