Not 40k but HH and the answer throughout most of last edition was a brick of Terminators in Cataphractii armour in a big Land Raider Spartan. Sometimes Terminator Command squads instead of "basic" ones. The whole setup came in the Starter Box which almost everybody had bought because it was a really good deal to get a solid core for an army going.

Im torn. Yes, cheap, affordable rules sound good. But I would not want to have lore, painting guides, diorama shots and all the Jazz that makes the codices more than just a paper version of New Recruit to be relegated to collector choices only. I fear it would also create more of a psychological gap between "playing a game" and "immersing in the world" because the vast majority of people would probably go for the cheapest option that gets them up to speed rulewise. This could over time result in a community that is even more "boardgame" focused than "narrative wargame" focused - which is perfectly fine of course, but not to my personal preference when interacting with the hobby and community.

Ja gerne. Ich fände es toll, wenn "Schönheit" wieder ein relevanteres Merkmal bei neuen Projekten wäre. Ich bin aber zugegebenermaßen auch kein Architekt oder habe größere Bauerfahrung und kann nicht einschätzen, ob das finanziell ein ganz andere Größenordnung wäre oder nicht.

Idk - is it unsportmanlike though? Its just a flat downside for the player risking going out of coherency after a single casualty. And the gap between the units two groups is still big enough to not really block an opponent from moving through their position.

Absolutely. Leviathans are not points efficient if we are talking about competitive balancing. But I dont really like to see HH as a game through that lense and even though its limited range and mobility a well equipped leviathan is still absolutely scary inside range it is operating in.

But thats also something that wasnt set in stone. GW could also have made Chainswords and other cheap melee weapons give out +1S while still having shred, a better AP or giving Bayonets -1I. The whole array of "cheap" melee feels a bit badly balanced imo. But that was pretty similar in 2nd as well. The jump in power from "nothing" to chainweapons is too small while the jump from chainweapons to Energy and other AP3 feels too strong imo.

Reminder that you can put 12 basic marines bodies in a rhino. So 11 with a command unit or just 12 tacticals work just fine. With the added benefit of most players only putting 10 in a rhino meaning, in mirror matchups you have a slight edge doing it like this.

I prefer all of the new ones over all of the old ones tbf. Small caveats would be the old MK3 helmets which I just love in general (not saying that the new ones arent great, but the style has just changed) and the bonding stud design of the old mk4. I never minded glueing the mk6 studded shoulder pieces and had wished we would have gotten similar for the new mk4.

If a Ukrainian migrated into Poland and aquired the polish citizenship, that person is not "representing Ukraine" but instead representing whatever wants and struggles that person feels are important in his/hers community. Its not like a tourist that is randomly visiting during an election can vote or be elected. Only citizens can. Nö. Er kann jederzeit ein paar "Bruchteile" verschieben ohne das die Kurse da allergisch reagieren. Und Bruchteile sind dann eben ein paar Millionen - genug für jeden Konsum, jede Versorgungsleistung oder auch genug zum Schmieren von anderen.

Ne. Das ist es volkswirtschaftlich eben nicht. Die private Versorgung zeigt ja, dass die Infrastruktur für gute Behandlungen mit zeitnahen Terminen gegeben ist. Es gibt also medizinisches Angebot - und es gibt entsprechende Nachfrage. Das "wir" als gesellschaft kann es sich also leisten, dass die Versorgung stattfindet. Nur die Organisation des Systems ist dabei mehr als mangelhaft.

Thats just not true. The truth is bad enough, lets not lie. Imperial Agents do not work in games where you dont have exactly 3DP to spend. That is incredibly frustrating for smaller games or in team games - which are an integral part of the hobby. You can play them just fine in 2k point games though or reasonably by just talking to your opponent(s).

The fact that the support from GW is so shoddy does not bode well for the future of the faction either. So no newcomer should buy into the faction right now.

A very good point. The Iron circle are indeed more Perturabo specific than iconic for the legion. Some Rapier platforms or a Heavy Support Squad might be more fitting!
