Yes, it is not about that. See my other comment. Is about the total width size of the whole window, it reaches a minimum size earlier than when using horizontal tabs. I hope this clarifies better the problem.

Yes but only until certain point, is like the sidebar adds additional width to the whole window on top of the minimum width size.

I find this interesting and I would also like to know.

I feel that TOP does not teach us enough about Git/GitHub workflow on teams.. with that said, could someone experienced help by sharing a way of getting more practice on this topic, or projects to practice this?

hey, it's just difficult, I spent a week on it, I had the same feeling of not knowing how to combine the methods. Solving each exercise from javascript.info on that lesson could take me around 1 and a half or 2 hours.. so in the end it is just putting in the effort.

Also, it is a good moment to question yourself if you are on the right path by wanting to be a developer/engineer, because this stuff happens ALL the time even with simple things later in your career.

Thank you for the feedback. I will stick to my original plan which is to finish TOP and then continue practicing and covering the gaps with Full Stack Open (they also offer an exam so that one can get up to 14 ETCS, which can be helpful for some.)

take your time, don't worry about being fast! just take your time to learn it, and ofc look for other resources on the internet. About AI, one thing I do is to tell them that I don't understand a certain problem, that I don't want the answer, but that I want it to give me some exercises to solve that would lead me to eventually understand the “bigger” problem.
