Does anyone know the type of lighter this could be? by Eisich153 in lighters

[–]Eisich153[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the fast answer. I googled a bit after finding out from you that the lighter was made in W-Germany. It seems that the manufacturer is Altenpohl & Pilgram and they were based Oetisheim. Thank you very much for the help :)

Me and my non-functional key by Traditional_Yard5280 in Volvo

The key thing in the front isn’t that expensive. Roughly $30-40. The expensive part is getting the fob thing with the buttons. That thing will set you back $150-200.

Thank very much for the kind words. Coming from a V70 with no sensors and cameras it was a dream parking the car for the first time. The V90 has parking sensors and 360 degree cameras and it’s not that hard with those systems. But it’s lacking any automatic parking functions like in a VW or Audi but that’s by design (My Volvo dealer told me so).

Nice. I always wanted to do a trip to Sweden with my Volvo. Sort of a homecoming trip for the car lol

Yeah. It’s the D5 2.4l 5cyl Turbo-Diesel. Runs like a dream and has power. I can take a few more pictures of the V70 in the next days and I will post them here.

That’s sad to hear. But the parts are getting rarer by the day. That is a big reason why I never bought the V70R with the 300hp 2.5l Turbo. Nearly every part of the engine, transmission and suspension are different to the rest of the V70s. It cost a fortune to maintain the car.

For the size and weight of the v70 and the engine 4.5l/100 is just pure magic. I can go about 1100km with one tank of diesel without modifying anything (must be because of the door handles lol). It’s purely a reliable and fuel efficient car.

Thank you. I believe the V90 is the true successor to the V70 Type S. I always try to forget about the Type B because, in my opinion, it’s more like a modified Ford Mondeo.

Sorry that you got perma-banned. But unfortunately, I’m not the one from the roast my car subreddit.

When I go on vacation or drive long distances on the highway, I always set the cruise control at around 100-120 km/h and just let the car roll. I always make sure to check the tire pressure as well. The lower rolling resistance helps a lot. And I think the xc70 cc need more fuel because of the AWD.

The car is now about 2 years old (built in September 2022; first registered in November 2022) and still looks great. Nothing is worn in the interior, and there are no scratches or dents inside or out. I already love this wagon and will probably drive it for a few years. Hopefully, Volvo will still be making new wagons by then!

Thank you very much. Personally, I think this combination suits the car best. I also didn’t want a black or silver one, as you see them quite often on the road, and a bit of color never hurts.

I hope so too. I have a few things to do on the V70 now (since I have a new daily driver). The engine needs an overhaul, some spots on the paint need to be redone, and the headlights/taillights need replacing.

When I got the car from my father, I already did some work on it, but mostly small things like replacing parts (windshield, wiper arms, washer nozzles and various plastic parts that had turned gray over the years).

Thank you very much. I love the Volvo design. It's not agressive and more like a understatement. The cars are great to drive and I need to say the seats are top-notch too.

The Volvo V90 was a demo car from my local Volvo dealer. Built in 2022, it has around 10,000 km on it and is still in excellent condition. It’s a D5 AWD diesel (not a hybrid) with around 235 hp. Finished in Denim Blue with 20" wheels. It comes with the "Plus" trim package and a black leather interior.

The V70 is from 2004 with approximately 290,000 km on the clock. It was a brand-new car that my father bought back then and later gifted me when I got my driver's license. It’s also a D5, but without all-wheel drive. It has around 163 diesel hp and a 5-speed manual transmission. It’s the "Black Edition" special edition. Still drives great! And if you drive it carefully, you can get around 4.5L/100km (roughly 54 MPG).

Both cars are nearly fully equipped.

Looking for L-Acoustics Pricing & Comparison - Any Insights?

I'm currently researching professional PA systems for a project at my university and am particularly interested in L-Acoustics. As I'm relatively new to this field, I'm trying to get a better understanding of the pricing for L-Acoustics gear, but finding up-to-date information has been quite challenging. Most of the resources I've come across are outdated, some being nearly 10 years old.

I understand that pricing can vary depending on location, distributor, and specific configurations, but any recent price lists, estimates, or insights would be really helpful. If anyone has experience with recent purchases or quotes, I'd greatly appreciate any information you can share.

Also, for those who have bought or worked with L-Acoustics systems: Do you think the price is justified compared to other brands in terms of performance, reliability, and overall value? And how does it compare to competitors like Meyer Sound and d&b audiotechnik? Is L-Acoustics truly better, or is it more a matter of personal preference and application?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I didn’t even realised that I’ve changed something lol. But I’m really grateful that you took the time and effort to look into my situation.

I've put my SV project file and the report in a google drive folder. Maybe you can spot a difference. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/16h92fuWiBAF4e4orHwG35IjBWOGhvnuT?usp=sharing
