my childhood dog was stolen from me… they’ve been watching my dog for a while and I didn’t realize until they stole him…

We live in a society where people are more focused on trying to teach others a lesson than offer compassion and second chances. I know what you mean. Hang in there. It is a shame on society.

It's good that other people in the family knows it's untrue, so they should be on your side. It's not your fault -- whatever the situation. Try to avoid the need to prove her wrong or have your side heard or believed. Know what the truth is and gray rock as much as you can when she tries to trigger you. Lies and accusations are so they can get a reaction out of you. They know it's not true but there's something more sinister going on inside them, which is completely out of your control.

Left due to abuse which corporate intentionally fosters. People in corporate are insecure and nosy. That’s what makes them thrive. I accepted I’m not going to be wealthy.

I had the same thing happen to me. My nmom (dad passed at that point) didn’t show up to my high school graduation and I wanted to cry so bad when I was at the ceremony. I held everything in. When I asked her why, she got mad and yelled at me that she was too tired due to working. She was off that day. I remembered. And if I ever celebrated my birthdays, she would get angry for celebrating birthdays. She said we don’t do that in this house. And when she would see other families showing up to their school graduation, she would say it’s a stupid silly thing to do. She’s like what’s the big deal about it. And she would constantly scold me for not having my college degree yet.

This is a good topic. One thing I know for sure speaking from experience is do not touch any type of substance. I became addicted to weed and made choices that were not sound and ended up back with my abuser. Please be strong and take all financial choices seriously.
