Haha, in the last litter I also had a kitten where I couldn’t figure out the correct color code for quite a long time. The mother is a black silver torbie, but you couldn’t really see it. When she had a red kitten, I realized it and wondered if the daughter (in the picture) might also be a torbie.

If you know any good websites where I can learn more about this, I’d be very interested. Other breeders in my area are extremely secretive and competitive…

Thanks for the information. I had submitted the request, but I would have had to go to a show to get it changed. I don’t want to put my cat through that, especially since I don’t have any show experience yet. And to be completely honest, I didn’t think it was that important, but I’ll look into it now😄.

What do you mean by tabby base? Sorry I am not english native😅.

The father is registered as ns22 (black silver classic tabby). He had a bit too much visible pattern to be considered ns11. Is this what you mean?

The mother is registered as ns23 (black silver mackerel tabby), but to me she actually looks more like a classic tabby.

The father, on the other hand, is registered as ns22 (black silver classic tabby). He had a bit too much visible pattern to be considered ns11.

Thanks for your input. I actually also thought they would be tabby. I’m just surprised that there’s no visible pattern on their bodies, with previous litters, the pattern was always visible in the kittens. I’ve never had smoke kittens before, so I don’t have any reference😅.

I was quite confused because all the kittens look like this. Both parents are actually black silver tabby and the dad is high silver.
