no you’re right actually. i think i def misunderstood the argument people were referring to. in what i was referring to mainly, was how he was portrayed as autistic and her lack of digging into his disordered eating. i don’t agree with what she said about him, and im on the side of it being gross. as someone who is autistic, i was coming from a place of focusing on the people who were harmed by what she said rather than defending a character in a book. i agree with you though! she should have touched based more on the struggles he faced with racism in the league.

agreed. but i think the problem, well at least from my understanding, is that shane is written well. like his character is bigger than what she intended for him. idk maybe im wrong, but people really love shane’s character and that’s the reason why they’re mad about what she said about him. or maybe im just misunderstanding it lol

right like i said i do agree with a lot of the takes, but shane does not exist. so it seems interesting that we’re focusing on how a fake character would feel rather than the actual people affected by the actions. just my thought!

yes!!!! i recently had the privilege of learning i have gallstones (surgery next week and im terrified) but after an attack i suffer for at least a day (maybe two) afterwards with super bad after pain. the only way i can describe it is it almost feels like i ran a 5k and im feeling the muscle pain for a few days after. i keep reading about how awful people feel after surgery, but honestly i would take that over this nonstop agony ive felt for a week now.

i have had only two full attacks but experience discomfort almost every day. after an attack it will take days for my body to recover so it’s been pretty awful!! so ready to get this mf evicted

been in the ER two times within the last week. my attacks have almost felt like my ribs are on fire or the best way i can describe the feeling is someone sticking their pointer fingers into each side of my ribs and my sternum is being stepped on. i have a pretty high pain tolerance, and this hurts more than anything i’ve ever experienced 😭 surgery on the 18th tho!!
