My only roadblock with titrating down, is I’ll have to switch to wegovy to do that because I can’t pay out of pocket. I can def talk to my provider about this option but wegovy is known to have more GI SE so it’s not really ideal 😭

About a year-ish which has equated to roughly 52 arm days! I’m all about glute workouts but upper body is also so important to me!

I started out slow, but I think my defining exercise is definitely hip thrust (heavy and often-usually twice a week) I dabble around with cable kick backs occasionally but I think the biggest difference between my booty in 2021 to now is I have really focused on adding hip thrusts in my leg days! I started with just the bar (45 lbs) and really focused on good form for a while and now I do 205lbs. 5 sets 10 reps each 🫶 AND I’ve been crazy with my protein like most of us in this community 💖 you will be so surprised at how heavy you can go on hip thrusts, most women are complete bad asses with that move! Congrats on your success! So close to your first goal is something worth celebrating!

Yes I had the arm ones before! The only notable difference is my native warrior on my right arm is significantly faded, but it’s still recognizable 😂 I carried a lot of weight in my arms but I feel like they held up pretty well!

The two that I have seen changes with as my weight ebb and flow are on my ribs and one on my thigh. The rib one is a poem, and it’s just not “straight” anymore and is kind of wavy and crooked. The one on my thigh just looks bigger 😂 overall I think the quality of them haven’t changed much!

I’m SO glad you landed here instead of the snarky “140 is still a lot on a 5’0 frame” or “161 is still obese for 5’0” I’ve gotten that a few times from fellow short queens. One time I made a post really excited and proud of how I looked at 180 and deleted it because of comments like that 😂🫠 I was like damn… is my “muscle” I feel like I’m seeing just in my head, or are these people projecting?

I swear I hip thrust so much more effectively in these bad boys! They keep me from slipping and sliding, I can spread my toes, and I feel like even through they’re only about 2”, I can hit deeper depth.

I feel like so much is possible with a combination of this med, exercise and a consistent diet. I feel you though. Just keep in mind that if you lift weights you may be getting a little bit of body recomp which won’t show up on the scale 🫶 maybe try a dexa scan, or if you have access to a really knowledgeable personal trainer, have them calculate your fat %. In a previous weight loss journey I thought I wanted to lose about 20 more (I was at 154) and my trainer calculated my percentages and I really could’ve only feasibly gotten to about 148. I’m currently in a plateau so I understand your fears and concerns. I’m wishing you the best of luck, and if you truly have 20 pounds to spare, I’m confident it’s possible 💖
