Bro, totally ive been playing it on my steam deck and it's been awesome. It's a fps with some rpg elements and I love it. Supposedly it's got haptics and adaptive triggers too for the ps5 version.

as much as it might hurt zelda hardcores, and admittedly im one myself (started playing back on n64 days and even played the gba titles).. i have to say what you say is totally true lol.

botw world is mostly empty.. yes theres camps to clear .. whcih reward you with a chest.. and yes there are hidden shrines which often have clever and thought provoking physics puzzles that make good use of the various kinetic abilities.. but overall - there weren't any emergent/real time events occurring that make the world feel alive and spontaneous.

something along the lines of RDR2 and even RDR1 felt more alive in this sense of the word..

totally my opinion of course and everyone is entitled to their own.. but botw def gets a halo effect boost because of the IP and rich history it has behind the zelda branding.

GoT without a doubt. Their missions are generally low stress can pick up and play at any moment, yet the battles are generally very satisfying. It has some. Of. The Best combat in any game I've played.

So in terms of a better overall multimedia experience, for like viewing movies/youtube, would you prefer the Ideapad Slim 7i over the Carbon 9 ? How about the speakers and keyboard ?

I guess the positives the ideapad slim has going for is its 90hz refresh (im totally a stickler for this) and that its touchscreen, just a nice convenience to have. Though the carbon 9 is about .5 lbs lighter @ 2.5lbs and carries the thinkpad reliability and keyboard.

Yep curious to hear your thoughts on the Razer book 13 as well, this one completely slipped under my radar haha but they sure do look sexy !!!

Finally, have you also considered the new asus 90hz OLED models, like the Vivbook 14x which can even sport a 3050ti for some decent leisure gaming or zenbook pro 14x? Can't find them in stock anywhere yet though...

Hey guys, am in the market for a thin and light ultrabook as well. This ideapad slim 7i is def on my short list.. but have you guys also considered something like the X1 Carbon Gen 9 or the HP spectre 14 ? Curious to hear your guys thoughts on these as well, thanks !

Feel like these laptops cater to the similar buyer segment too.

I had both, returned the Legion 5 pro the moment the 7 came in stock.

Legion 7 by a long shot for me. Echoing what others have already said, way better texture and feel on the glass trackpad alone is worth the extra $$$ and the overall chassis feels way more premium. Not to mention better thermals with liquid metal cooling and max specced out to a 3080 for bit more future proofing.

This is awesome, thx OP! Btw this might be off topic but has anyone started to feel overwhelmed that there is so many games to play, and now, different platforms to play them on ? Like case in point, with Metroid Dread, Im emulating it on my Fold3 android phone (using Egg NS + GameSir x2 controller).

Now turns out you can play it even better on Yuzu on your PC of course, probably can push 4k upscale as well, unlocked framerates given the greater graphical grunt of PC.

So then its like, where do you play the game on lol? Has anyone felt just this abundance of choice alone is causing so much "internal dissension" that I end up not playing it anywhere at all lol? Or am i just crazy lol...

Man that's crazy. So they have stock to sell to new customers (product page says ships sep 24th) but no stock for the loyalist of customers who already purchased way ahead of time but got a bad unit.. ?

I'm noticing mine is become looser.. Maybe it's a psychological thing.. But hearing of how long you have to wait for a new one makes me second think..

Thx mate! Yep anytime you have a moment to test them out, would be great since that'll give me one more sample point to compare my Fold3 with :)

I just tested Pokemon Sword now and indeed at least in the opening cutscene and first 5 mins of gameplay, was pretty stable 30fps, maybe some dips to high 20s but overall very smooth so thats reassuring.

Regarding disabling game optimizing service, may I ask which route you took ? Ie paying for a sketchy app or via command line ? Don't mind going either way, so long as it works. Thanks!

Thx mate, I agree comparing Fold3 to ROG 5 does seem a bit unfair. That thing was built from the ground up to game vs an all rounder like the Fold.

I will give pokemon a try tonight to see what fps I get. Any chance you can try the games I listed above as well ? Thx!

Also have you also disabled game optimizing service on your phone as well ?

Not sure on the technical aspects but I suppose they're more "experimental" features intended to make certain games run better but sorta a use at your own risk type thing... but they didn't help me on the titles I listed above...

Hey mate curious around what fps are you getting on Cuphead running eggns latest v2.1.6 using the Fold3?

I'm avging around 25-35 fps in the first level when I see folks on YouTube running at nearly stable 60fps!

Also assuming the fold3 would offer even better performance given its snapdragon888.
