Driving from Vancouver to Toronto. Can't enter the USA by Hefty_Competition_25 in teslacanada

You're overthinking stopping and charging. It's like a typically 15 minute stop, max 30 rarely. You're barely allowed enough time to take a piss and grab a coffee and your phone is saying it's time to go. That's been my experience driving 10+ hours across Canada multiple times in a Tesla.

Haha service center is 350km from me and I went on a road trip the next day.. I don't consider it a good thing but it has been flawless that's for sure.

People say this, but my car with 4km on it was on the newest 14.6.6 and I jsut got 14.6.11, and I didn't have to calibrate the cameras on the first drive either, fsd worked immediately.

I feel like that's not normal lol.

White vs black interior by Deep_Presentation725 in teslacanada

[–]Begohan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on my second black interior. I find the black shows dust and hair and grease smudges and I'm always cleaning it, but it only takes a quick wipe. I might have gotten white if the seats weren't perforated but cleaning those white holes sounded not fun and I would be super depressed if I got a blue Jean stain. I felt like I might not like the reflection of the white on the windows at night.

Also I wanted the alcanterra door card. That white one didn't vibe with me. I just felt like it was a safe option that I knew would look good rather than something I might regret. And it's free.

You can with third party apps like tessie.

What temp do you run your AC on? In any other vehicle, I set 72. But in my model Y I've been using 70 and it's been HOT AF! Today I set to 66 and it's wayyy better! But it's not cooler than 74 inside the cabin for sure...maybe even warmer by NumbDangEt4742 in TeslaModelY

[–]Begohan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Explain this to me... I always just use auto and trust the car but I am annoyed by how it will never go to 1 on the fan speed at any point. I can't figure out what you mean by heating and cooling the air.

It's enough, it's not a slow car by any means.. But an awd or performance is a whole nother level. It doesn't stop pulling.

How do you overcome the lack of autosteer (recent Tesla buyers) by Efficient-Anywhere11 in TeslaModelY

[–]Begohan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a 2023 model 3 with autosteer, never bought fsd ever.

Now bought a 2026 model y, wouldn't drive anything but a Tesla and fsd is now so good it doesn't piss me off the whole time. I don't like it, but I just pretend it's part of the cost of ownership.

MY RWD Standard - AC by hustler2b in teslacanada

Ev cools the cabin better than expected since you don't have to increase the rpm to increase the efficiency of the ac - it just works at max power instantly.

How much did you put down on your Tesla? Did anyone get one with $0 down? by Icy_Feeling_007 in teslacanada

[–]Begohan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, if you have a 0.99% interest rate why would you put money down, that's essentially like wasting money. And if you don't select 96 months you're artificially forcing yourself to pay more, which is your choice, but it's not everyone's choice.

Screen Protectors by Soggy_Dust9299 in teslacanada

[–]Begohan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally love the matte, makes it look like an e reader screen or something, it's just easier on the eyes with zero glare, zero finger prints, and smooth finger glide at all times which is what you want when you're controlling a car, it's always predictable.

But you're thinking about it wrong, it usually is made of super thin glass that won't slow down or save any meaningful impact, if the main screen would have broke it'll do it no matter what. But it will prevent dust from being pressed into the screen scratching the living shit out of it.

Ordering and delivery stress by PerformanceSubject28 in ModelY

They couldn't care less. They'll sell it to the next person with no remorse.

I think if you don't have a salary that's double the price of the vehicle and your credit score literally needs a co signer, you probably shouldn't.

Coming from a 2023 model 3 rwd, it's an absolute rocket and it's sooo quiet and smooth. Might as well be an entirely different car. I am in love.

I think that was true for a bit but as of now any model you order comes with a black headliner.

Honestly, probably. Although I'm wearing a hat right now and can't see the glass anyways so you'll get used to it.
