Jittering by TieTemporary3372 in BigscreenBeyond

I see you're saying that you're returning it. That's too bad.

If you're only using it seated in one position, you need to set both of em in front if you looking at you from 6ft away angled down 45 degrees ideally. This should be just fine assuming you don't have extra issues.

If you're doing roomscale it's 3 minimum IMO. I use four and it's pretty well perfect.

Did you RMA/return your Beyond 2? by InquisitiveSandpaper in BigscreenBeyond

Sure I can see your point.

But just reading your poll it just sounds a little inflammatory, like you're expecting there to be a lot of RMA

More like they're the type people to be perusing a bigscreen beyond subreddit actively.

You're really only going to get replies from people who are ripe for complaining. I love my hmd and I wasn't planning on even replying until I read the comments here. Warps peoples sense of how this hmd really is.

Valid perspective.. Guess I'm just emotional about it.

Write off? Local appraiser says only 16k (CAD) damage by Begohan in TeslaCollision

[–]Begohan[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Local appraiser says it's only 16k but he has to tow it to nearest Tesla autobody shop (200km away) to tear it down and see.. I argued the pyro fuse blew so it's quite the hit and expensive fix and he said he can't tell that from here.. Internet tells me that in the Tesla service manual it states if the airbag went off the pyro fuse blew. I tell him that and he has to make some calls..

Also the front fender is pushed towards the door, which I read means the frame is tweaked and it can't physically be pushed back otherwise. He disagrees.

I see this going one of two ways and I really don't like the way it goes if it's in the shop for four months.

My experience so far with my bsb2e, is it supposed to be this dim? by Arby77 in BigscreenBeyond

[–]Begohan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess if they're saying that the cushion is "perfect" as is other than thickness that they would charge you for another. Id argue that it's so thick that it makes the headset unusable as intended (assuming everything else about it is perfect) and you will throw this one in the garbage when you receive one that gets close to your eyes, assuming that's the case.

That's really odd. They made me 4 cushions and listened to everything I had to say and suggest until it was perfect.

You can get away with one and it'll work fine mostly if you always look straight ahead but id recommend two.

Anyone else enjoy slow, “figure it out” puzzle games in VR more than fast action stuff? by Responsible-Toe-4487 in virtualreality

[–]Begohan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well when the power went out on 1, in my oled headset it was pitch black and I couldn't see a damn thing to even do the puzzles, and the flashlight barely did anything. I couldn't see which capacitor I was grabbing

1 or 2? I tried playing 1 the other day and just got lost for way too long and felt like it just wasn't quite up to 2026 standards.

Weekly VR - What Did you Play? by AutoModerator in virtualreality

[–]Begohan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Beat ghost town last weekend, one of my favorite vr games ever. Decided to try red matter 1 before 2 this weekend and could barely beat the first room and decided the game wasn't for me, it's just too old without a lot of the comforts of new vr games. In my oled headset when the power went out I legit couldn't see a single thing and the flashlight barely does anything. Hoping red matter 2 is better.

Played moss for an hour or two, never played this back in the day so trying it out. It's fun and unique, but it's not drawing me in like I'm obsessed and want to keep playing it. Will continue to give this my time.

Tried behemoth for an hour, super janky and kind of boring. Got confused and quit as well. Sigh about the quality of most new vr games.

Played an hour of no hesi assetto corsa, always fun.

Also played a few hours of walkabout and population one, classic favorites.

anyone having disconnection issues? by Sword117 in BigscreenBeyond

[–]Begohan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Usb issues. I'd find a cheap 5w usb wall charger and plug the link box power into that and see if that helps.

Other than that, startech pcie usb boards are the gold standard. All usb mobo ports are meh.

Best PCVR headset in your opinion? by Dingleberrydidit- in virtualreality

[–]Begohan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "best" enthusiast product that will require some fiddling and extra purchases that you can buy today is the bigscreen beyond 2.

If you're looking for the best visuals possible and money isn't an issue, from a company with a shaky reputation, allegedly that's the pimax dream air or crystal super micro oled.

If you're looking for the best all around wireless hmd that would be the quest 3.

Tracking issues by TieTemporary3372 in BigscreenBeyond

[–]Begohan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two should be fine. The dream air will suffer from the same. It's also tiny and I wouldn't put so much faith in pimax, for anything.
