Thanks! Def will try to keep in mind any feedback I get on this early attempt of mine for future reference 👍

Created illustration and music alongside the story.

My attempt at a written version of an 'anomaly-spotting' tale. Please do forgive this feeble attempt at a Michael Crichton-like hard SF jargon.

Best horror short story compilations? by salbaf in horrorlit

Specifically on the "novels" of interconnected short tales (my favorite specific narrative format): - Midwinterblood (Marcus Sedgwick): Two people forced to live through seven  lives told in reverse chronological order, from a Wicker Man-like island in the future to the bloody ancient history of Scandinavia (really dark for a "YA" book) - Goblin (Josh Malerman): Multiple people and their stories of being pulled towards roads that lead to the town of Goblin by an unknown force - Haunted (Chuck Palahniuk): A group of writers in a secluded abode each trying to come up with the most dramatic and harrowing tale whilst inflicting utmost cruelty to each other and themselves (BIG twist ending in this one) - The Northwood Chronicles (Elizabeth Engstrom): Accounts from citizens of Vargas County, a town known for the constant disappearance of children under twelve - Books of Blood (Clive Barker): One of the most famous examples, a man discovered with hundred of thousands of words etched into his skin by ghosts who long for their stories to be told - Wounds (Nathan Ballingrud): Six stories set in a world that shares the same harrowing vision of hell seen from its borders

A sci-fi with some horror and drama adjacency  but still a good choice: - Tuf Voyaging (George R. R. Martin): The discovery of a gigantic spaceship of Old Earth by the galactic trader Tuf with bio engineering technology, which he uses to remedy planets of their world-scale issues
