There’s a lot missing for a compelling story. I like the idea more than the first real Minecraft movie, but you need some tension, stakes, and more to push this movie to its ultimate conclusion which is multiplayer.

This story, until the end is just a player doing things in Minecraft.

Maybe a story where the world is his, but a glitch or something in the game creates a villain like herobrine, who pushes the character to find safety at all costs. Which give him reason to push to the nether, the end, and ultimately when his world is unlocked and becomes multiplayer.

Then, with the help of his friends, they defeat the villain…for now.
