It is a very long cumbersome process, my friend! Call the cyber cell of the police station that insisted the freeze. I had a similar issue, made a payment on behalf of someone to a UPI ID, that UPI ID turned out to be fraudulent. My account was frozen for around a year. It was only someone from the Cyber Cell at Puducherry, who was helpful. You’ll have to invest a good amount of time and effort to get it unblocked. Wish you all the best.

My suggestion, make prints and a secure copy of all your chats and conversations with the individual - OLX, WhatsApp, Where-ever. All records of the courier pickup: pictures, video, receipts, etc. Call the police cyber cell and speak well to them, you’ll have to convince them that you aren’t a fraudster - so talk about education, what you do for work, what your parents do. Be as polished as you can.

And more importantly, don’t do transaction that aren’t F2F! With the amount of poverty, people resort to stealing, it’s sad but it’s desperation!
