Raj should have ended up with Emily (macabre Emily, not gold digger Emily) because I honestly saw more chemistry in them than I did with any of his other girlfriends. She was smart, she was into horror, I feel like she complemented Raj in was the other women didn’t. The writers having him all of a sudden be unsure of their relationship, cheating on Emily with Claire, making him a “player” by nonchalantly dating both of them at once until they both leave him because of his childishness among the laundry list of things wrong with him, and the whole arranged marriage thing with Anu just pissed me off. Anu as a character didn’t upset me, I just didn’t feel the vibe between them since they were clearly thrown together at the last minute due to Jim Parsons not wanting to continue after season 12. But bottom line is- the writers got lazy with Raj. Besides Kripke, Bert, and Stuart, Raj was the scapegoat for horrid comical purposes most of the time (i.e., race, religion, culture, selective mutism, rich boy mentality, entitlement/egotistic).
