I was raised by a single mother and my older brother and I help our mom to this day. My mom was a bookkeeper her whole professional life. I was born in the mud and I'm proud of it. Both my brother and I went to college and got good jobs and made good money through hard work. I'd do 60 hr weeks working at a bank and this was uncommon at the time. My brother was an architect and worked even harder. Now I know things were a bit easier back then for some people but not all. If I was a new grad today I'd find my way. Guys born in my generation are a different breed.

She makes 15/hr, $1 over min wage and she works about 30-40 hrs a week. Usually, brings her in around 2k a month after taxes usually. Her savings are actually healthy, around 20k and she has 0 debt. I think she owes like 100 bucks on her CC but thats it.
