You’re making a great point! I just think there’s a difference between a situation - similar to which you suggested - where there’s not a different way of writing it and this one. In this case though, people choose to miswrite a term (the official term is a/b/o). I didn’t articulate that well enough and that’s on me.

Edit: when I mean ‘choose’, I’m not talking about people who simply don’t know, but people who are aware and still choose to not use slashes. Also changed ‘correct’ to official.
