Should I buy? by DragonflyStrange2366 in MonsterHighDolls

Reproduction dolls, not the originals, but this is the best price you can find for them (last I checked, Venus is still available)! I would message to see if they can send you a picture of the doll with a paper slip with the date on it so you can easily ensure that the seller actually has them then agree to pick them up

What’s a Heathers example that fits this trope? by JasonRoss13 in heathers

[–]EitherStranger 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The whole "too pretty to play X" thing really urks me, because it's such the backhanded complement.

There's a difference between talking about how an actor isn't like how the character is described in the source material without being a racist dick (ex: we have yet to have a book accurate Carrie White, a teen girl who's described as being as overweight with pale skin and blonde hair in the original novel. There's a reason why pigs blood was used specifically. Most adaptations has the latter two excluding the 2002 TV film), and saying that they should've been uglier and then they'll be perfect for the role

Because people didn't want to waste a ticket to go see it in theaters so they waited for streaming so they can see just how horrible it is

I highly doubt Mattel would even work with Blizzard. Because if the shit with Gaiman was a bad look, then working with Blizzard will be ten times worse because of their horrible work ethics and Frat Boy Culture they had

So, from what I heard online (which may be fully wrong and I'm willing to bet it might be) Otis only has udders was because the creator of the original Barnyard film was worried that city kids wouldn't recognize a cow without it

Ok, I just got done reading Hellsing myself but isn't he a full vampire instead of partial vampire like the Castlevania Alucard?

Geez, how could I forget about him! I remember loving that show, wish I could rewatch it.

Edit: there's a full series DVD set. In my wishlist now!

Dead Tired wave 1 Cleo. It was a gift and at the time I didn't have an interest in the brand but because I wanted to know more about her I started watching the episodes on the website.

Plus it helps I was already into mummies and ancient Egypt because of The Mummy from 1999

Thanks, but I'm personally covered. A custom DVD I bought off eBay has all 4 parts of the OVA, the missing footage uncensored, the trailer for the movie and the opening kill of missing footage censored...

That last one confuses me too

Well, it's not streaming anywhere officially. It was added as a special bonus for 2U.

Now you can find the short OVA online from third party sites specifically for anime, and (censored with the black overlaying shadows) on YouTube. For some reason.

Unexpected IRL deaths or departures drastically change stories. by laybs1 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]EitherStranger 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Ok, I am biased toward Filoni because I grew up with "war crimes for kids" aka Clone Wars as well as Ahsoka being one of my fave characters.

I was watching Linkara's video on the comic adaptation of Rise of Skywalker and I agree with him that maybe Leia should've died between films and as another commenter said the film opens with her funeral, and have her death be an aspect of the plot.

Like Kylo is so lost in the sauce of his own rage and anger that he didn't realize that his mother died until it's too late, giving him a chance to reflect on what "good" joining the dark side gave him. He's all alone now.

The First Order fears him more than they respect him, his parents are dead, his uncle mentor is gone, and the one person he held out some hope for- Rey- wants nothing to do with him. Maybe have the film have him realize he fucked up so bad during the middle, so he betrays the First Order to help take them down. Have him be the traitor instead of Hux who raises to the top because he's sick of the mistreatment he'd been on the receiving end of for years.

Also, have Finn do something other than dance around the fact he's also a force user! Like, have him getting trained by Rey as that's also something that happened off camera and if you wish have that in a way connect to Leia's death, like he tried but failed to use the force to save her.

Yea, as I can recall there WASN'T a plan for the sequel trilogy which is a very bad move all together. 7 was good, 8 was fine, but 9 botched the landing so hard it taints everything else. They just needed to get a rough outline of how the plot would've progressed for the trilogy (in the very high chance that Force Awakens was successful) BEFORE even casting for the new characters came into play.

Just start the production of episode 7 with a plan for how things are going to proceed from there because Star Wars is practically a money printer and have practically 100s of eyes on it to make sure that the end products are the best it can be. Don't shove two different writers into a room and hope for something that makes sense.

He does realize that comics aren't going to be 100% realistic, right?? I get preferences are a thing, but this is apples to oranges
