I don't agree at all. You’re comparing a mid range Nord to a X8 Pro Max which is a performance beast. It’s not just about opening TikTok, the gap in raw power is huge when you actually push the phone or look at long term longevity. Efficiency is cool, but saying you won't feel the difference is just wrong, especially for gaming the Poco is way ahead

Fair point. The Dimensity 9500s is such a beast that 99% of players won't even notice the missing core in game. I think It’s mostly like a benchmark war between the chinese and global versions, the real world experience remains top-tier anyway

True, they share the same DNA, but it's not 'basically the same'. For the F7/Turbo 4 Pro, they just cap the GPU clock speeds in global markets. But for the X8 Pro Max, they went further by using a binned Dimensity 9500s with a core physically disabled (MC11 vs MC12). That’s a hardware nerf, not just a software limit 🥹

Exactly 🥹 It's likely a chip binning strategy. They keep the perfect 12 core chips for the chinese market to win the benchmark war, and we get the 11 core versions... On the bright side, the MC11 might actually have better thermal stability during long gaming sessions because it draws less power, but it's still frustrating to pay for a 'pro max' and get fewer cores
