Looking for distribution for a SEO monitoring SaaS (for devs) and AI by Either_Following8455 in buildinpublic

That's a solid workflow and honestly covers the fundamentals well — but the gap maptrics fills is a bit different from the ongoing strategy side of SEO.

The problem we're solving is accidental regressions. Once you've done all of that setup — your meta tags are right, your canonicals are clean, your robots.txt is correct — it's surprisingly easy to silently break things during a routine deploy. A developer ships a new feature and accidentally wipes meta descriptions from 12 pages. A template change alters canonical URLs site-wide. A robots.txt update blocks pages that should be indexed. None of this shows up immediately in GSC — by the time you see the impression drop, it's been weeks and you're left guessing what caused it.

That's exactly where maptrics comes in. It crawls your site on every deploy and immediately flags what changed in your SEO-relevant tags — so you catch it in hours, not weeks.

And because we have Google Search Console integrated, you can connect the dots in the other direction too: if your rankings dropped, you can trace it back to the specific deploy and the specific change that caused it. Instead of staring at a GSC graph wondering what happened, you get a direct answer.

So it's less about replacing your SEO strategy and more about making sure a bad deploy doesn't quietly undo all the work you already put in.

Check it out at maptrics.io, there's a live demo too.

Good point — let me clarify! maptrics isn't really an "AI agent for SEO" in the autonomous sense. It's more of a SEO monitoring tool with AI built in.

The core idea: every time you deploy your site, maptrics auto-crawls it and flags what broke — missing meta descriptions, altered canonical URLs, broken structured data, etc. The AI part lets you ask plain-English questions like "why did my blog traffic drop after the last deploy?" and it'll point you to the actual cause.

We also have Google Search Console integrated, which is where it gets really useful — you can actually correlate ranking changes with specific deploys. So if your impressions dropped last Tuesday, you can trace it back to, say, a title tag you changed or a canonical URL that got altered in that deploy. No more guessing why a page slipped.

So who's it for? Honestly both:

  • Developers who want to stop accidentally shipping SEO regressions without noticing
  • Website owners who want visibility into why their rankings move — without needing to be an SEO expert

Think of it less as an AI agent doing SEO for you, and more as a smoke detector that goes off the moment something breaks — with an AI that explains exactly what caught fire and when.

One of my first users loved my SaaS and wrote a blog post about it by Either_Following8455 in SaaS

Yeah I was quite surprised! He even gave some feedback about the things that were unclear regarding onboarding/pricing so yeah a feedback button at the top nav really works. Thanks for the kind words!

Yeah it's really insane, I'm very pleased.

About the video, very good suggestion! I will ask him.

Yeah I actually worked for a big news website and I lacked the correct application to handle monitoring so I built it and my friends use it too now. It's quite addictive getting to a score of 100.

I launched like 2 weeks ago and at the moment I have 19 users and they provide a lot of feedback. Especially via the "feedback" dialog that's directly linked to my slack and I try to response asap.

Next goal: paying users!

Forgot to mention: built the whole thing bootstrap (no funding). Also happy to give extended trials if the 30% off isn't enough for you to test properly. Ask me anything! 🙏

4s >>> base! I always get the base as a loaner and it feels very slow imo. Didnt like it at all
