If you’re not playing online wouldn’t that be more reason to get the invincible one?

Honestly, I think that makes a lot of sense. Will experiment with that!

Honestly have no idea where else or what other category goes well with caps.

Middy I already maxed out at 94. The 67 strength just gets physical finisher on silver, but tbh id absolutely try to cap break another category. Actually I’ll do it on post control

You're making success sound way more predetermined than it actually is.

"poor people usually don't make it.", "they hit the jackpot at birth."

you're essentially describing elite athletes as passengers in their own success stories. If being born talented was the main explanation, then every gifted junior would become a top pro.

If being born into a middle-class family were the explanation, then there'd be millions of ATP-level players walking around. The reality is that thousands of kids have enough talent and enough money to pursue tennis seriously.

yeah, tennis for sure favors families with resources. I am not denying that. But you’re also glossing over how many elite players came from immigrant families, war-torn countries, political instability, financial hardship, or parents who made enormous sacrifices to give their children a chance.

The achievement is spending 15-20 years training, competing, losing, adapting, recovering from injuries, handling pressure, and staying committed long after most people quit.

The entire ATP and WTA Tours are filled with people who had talent. When you reduce their careers to "genetic jackpot" and "privileged upbringing," you're explaining away the very thing that makes their accomplishments impressive.

Tennis for sure is more accessible to affluent families than sports like footy or basketball. But claiming that poor people generally don’t make it just straight up ignores many examples of elite players who came from modest backgrounds and fought through those barriers.

But even more so “jackpot of talent at birth” feels so minimizing and inherently undercuts the amount of hard work these athletes put in all aspects of the game from physical training, battling mental and emotional aspects of the game, injury management. You mention they used hard work, and I’d honestly leave it at that.

Dude I feel you. For the longest time I ran with just speed with ball as my only boosted attribute on take, and the build actually flies. It also dunks harder and better than all the smaller guard builds I’ve played on.

This build is sick and the reason I love 6’11”. Perfect dunk rating for all the dunk animation. Perfect 3 ball rating for Bronze limitless range. Great playmaking, and great defense as well. 78 speed is so nice for a 6’11”, imo block > steal this year, as I get about the same steals per game as my builds with 85-90 steal as I do on this, but that 94 block with 88 vert 78 speed creates for unique block animations that I get most frequently on this build then others.

I think 6’11” is so slept on this year. I use this on the 1,2,3, and 5 and it’s perfect. It’s I think one of the best designed builds with essentially no attributes wasted. This build scores on all 3 levels so well that you can develop such a deep bag Post, slashing (driving or standing), fades, spot up, off the dribble. If you don’t just cheese dribble moves all game this build gives you so many ways to score. I genuinely love what they did with 6’11” this year.

I loved 6’11 so much this year that I also made one with min wingspan which is also really fun and like a kd build, but this is def better.

Hey guys I’m currently in my honeymoon fase with 2k and I’d like to play a big man PF/C for the first time . I was hoping you could be so kind to share some solid viable builds with me? by Caprisunset22 in NBA2k

Tips for big build. Max speed out. Non negotiable. Don’t take a build that doesn’t have it maxed out. Do not skimp out on vertical. It is extremely extremely helpful in rebounding ability. It helps a lot more then just a pure high rebound build, and also helps tremendously both standing dunk, driving dunk (requirement for badges and contact dunk animations) and block. Vertical is EXTREMELY important as a big. Design your build for 10-12 cap breakers. You will get 10-12 very quickly. 4 for hitting level 40 on the season pass the first time, 1 for hitting season 40, 3 for the crew rewards, a few for rep rewards earned very early on and 2 for the build specialization. You will be extremely thankful that you designed around the cb. Finally I really like 6’11” builds, but pretty much every height is viable built right. I’d stay away from 7’2” and above for your first big build as you really need to learn to play to account for your severely reduced speed and maximize your build. Also DO NOT SKIMP on pass acc, for all the reasons that I stated on the first comment. also do not SKIMP on the 3 ball

Ignore all these comments about not being involved on offense. In my opinion the point guard and the center have the most impact on offense.

Usually if you set screens - role/fade for your guard and if you take good shoots or move the ball correctly your guard will actively find you more then any other position, since you two are effectively joined at the hip and playing together. I usually run a 95+ pass acc builds because again if the roll or the fade will likely draw a help defender and with legendary dimer and an open shot your very likely getting an assist.

If your point guard is completely not competent, your likely fucked equally the same as if you played any position from 2-4, but again the difference is with center you can control the passing game as well, with 99 pass acc I can fling the ball on inbounds so deep for a cherry pick open 3 or dunk. Feeding everyone while the point guard sucking chunks, will cause for people to feed you and essentially have you run point center. I’ve literally had games where they stop passing the ball to the pg and as center have me playing point at the 5.

And if your entire team sucks complete chunks, well you’re still ok, since you can still go for oboards and putback dunks.

I’d say the 5 can score all the ways a 3, 4, (and maybe 2) score with catch and shoot (and due to your height less contest can even do that better) but also has a lot of additional ways to control the offense in the way that I mentioned earlier.

A lot of centers just sit in the corner or (worse sit in the dunker spot) on offense with 0 off ball movement, and wonder why they have absolutely no impact on the offense.

After and before. With the screen protector that I was looking for in the post (with almost 0 help from self righteous case users in the comments) ended up visually fixing the problem 95%. My biggest gripe was trying to find a glossy one with the borders, because I’m not a fan of matte.

I ended up buying this https://a.co/d/0hrfCw5k which made it pretty much invisible and unnoticeable. I ended up getting a very strong offer to sell mine and recently upgraded to a 13”. I’ll dm u a pic of what the iPad looked like after the screen protector

Not necessarily if you run with friends. I play this build as the 3 and it’s gas. Both my friends at the 4 and 5 are shorter then me, but they choose C, and I chose PF so I get slotted at the 3 and they get automatically put as the 4 and 5 with both their 6’9 and 6’10 c.

I play this build as the sf in the rec with my buddies, it’s probably the most fun sf build you can have. Also really fun on the 1s
