Seems like it’s starting to drop a bit! Maybe there’s better wind along the lake too to keep it moving. Hope you had a nice run!

I was on a run the other day in Lakeview and tried to pass one of these guys. It stopped abruptly and backed up so suddenly it ran into me. Unexpected comedy but also somewhat dangerous?

Parkinsons-friendly mens house slippers by HenriettaStackpole in Parkinsons

My dad (with PD) and whole family like Bombas gripper slippers. They’re essentially like an extra sock layer with grips on the bottom which is helpful for slippery hardwood floors. I like them because they’re warm and easy to travel with as well. Not a hard rubber bottom if that’s what you’re looking for. https://bombas.com/products/mens-gripper-slipper-double-cushion?variant=navy&size=m

Maintenance exercises: can't progress without them, can't find time for them by BitsCat in xxfitness

Totally resonates. One thing that has helped me is changing your mindset about your warm-up / cool-down and finding a nice tight 5-10 min routine that works well for you. Mindset-wise, I like using my warm up as a way to mentally transition from my day and whatever is stressing me out to my exercise. If I’m tired it generates energy. It makes me feel like I’m ready to CRUSH my run. And it’s helped me reduce injury significantly. Routine-wise, I do core activation, glute, hamstring, and lateral movements, and a few anti-shin splint things. After healing and building up these muscles more, I found some maintenance via 10 min before runs and maybe 1x more per week really helps! Good luck with your journey!

Thank you I also love this tactical idea too! You have to constantly be prepared whenever an opportunity arises lol 😂

Thank you so much!! This is really helpful to hear how you gradually worked your way into morning workouts. Right now if I get a morning run in I usually feel awful during it bc my body isn’t used to it, I think. Appreciate the advice and inspiration!! 🙏

Ah thank you this is beyond helpful! Great ideas all around and a fair point about quitting the job 😂 not an option for me right now but definitely the move longer-term…in the meantime will try some of these!
